My My; I go away for a bit and Babbage explodes (literally) into action and drama! I missed another chance to work with the Ladies Brigade it seems. I think I will get another chance in the near future, after all this IS New Babbage.
My travels away from Clockhaven have helped me put together my thoughts on how to call a water spirit. Truth to tell this new adventure has got me really excited. I never tried this type of call while at the temple. I certainly hope that I do well as I do not want to disappoint Father or the senior monk. I wonder what will appear. I know I will be asked to perform a task in payment for its’ services. I hope that won’t be too hard a job.
I was walking about the piers today and bumped into that cute kitsune boy Tepic. He was down at the grave yard playing for the spirits again. Such a kind boy! Then he told me that Mr. Footman was at his residence. I have been meaning to see him for quite a while so I hurried down there and found him. What a stroke of luck. We talked about a clue that might solve both of our problems for a bit. It will be certainly instructive to work with him as a team. Perhaps we can even solve the problem of releasing the wards that still stand about the grave yard. I would really like that.
I finally got the chance to meet Miss Sky Netizen right after talking to Mr. Footman. She is such the friendly person and I wish her well as she moves forward from her old “profession” into something more suitable for her. I do not often get to meet a real live retired pirate. Pity I did not have my scrap book with me. I could have gotten her autograph..now that would have been a collective item I would guess!
