        Who: New Babbage Social Salon featuring Russell Eponym
        What: chat salon with Fauve (voice and text), then live concert with stories and song (stream)
        Where: Dark Alice, #20 Babbage Square, New Babbage
        http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Babbage%20Square/73/162/111
        When: Wednesday, April 10, 10-10:50am for Salon, 11am-12pm for Concert

        Theme: ‘Tea Party’, Gothic Lolita, or Victorian/Steampunk garb as befits the City-State of New Babbage in the times before 1890.

        Light New Babbage RP is OK but Russell’s shows always bring fans from all over the grid who are unfamiliar with the City and the Lore, so please help them feel welcome. April 10th, Fauve will read from the Gothic Lolita Novel Kamikaze Girls by Novala Takemoto and read a poem by Arika Takarano.

        {spoiler cut for brevity would be good here}

        Future Salon readings under consideration or by request:
        1. Audiobook listening – The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls – Emilie Autumn
        2. Selections from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through The Looking-Glass
        3. Lists from The Pillow Book of Sei Shonagon
        4 +…suggest your requests or volunteer to read. Good themes would include similar to the above examples or literature or poetry related to Victorian Era.

        No politics, religion or controversial topics at Salon, please. While there are many worthwhile serious topics in our modern typists’ times, a Social Salon is specifically designed for passing a pleasant time together and gives us the opportunity to lay aside everyday cares and worries in order to have an enjoyable time with friends.

        *Note: If confused regarding the term “Gothic Lolita” as a fashion and sometimes a lifestyle, please do reference these resources:

        This Salon is purely social with an entertainment focus. For Educational Presentations, I highly recommend the excellent monthly Aether Salon of New Babbage.
