I had been at the docks, working on my new submersible, when an odd man approached. Apparantly there’s a new cult in Babbage.
I happaned to have a new recording device in my cane I had activated just for it’s first test.

*at this point an impressive show of a beam of light emitting from the man into my chest occured, with a heart looking nothing like my own, flew from my chest back along the beam*

I returned to my lab, and as suspected, the interesting trick of making a heart that looked nothing like my own deformed monster heart fly from my chestpeice while impressive, did little, it’s the same old peice of meat in my chest it”s always been. So, another cult comes to Babbage, trying to sway the populace. I will file the recording away for now, and examin the remains of #13 Miss Hermit dragged into my lab.

They wouldn’t get too many people in New Babbage interested I think. People here aren’t too impressed with “miracles” but prefer actual science (or maybe some explained magics).

Oh, I don’t know. There’s a fair bit of overlap between hypnosis, psionics, as-yet-unexplainable scientific phenomena, metaphysical working, and outright miracles in Deryni magic.
That said, if anyone’s claiming to be showing me my own heart, it had better look like mine. *grin*
