He laid in the grave, biding his time, the spirits he consumed had strengthen him, to where he could force his way through the wards, but the time wa so limited still, and his current form, not suitable for working on the machine,
He had seen a few hosts that would be suitable, the bookworm woman, the odd man with the silver sword, but in the woman’s case, he had run out of energy and was pulled back to the graveyard. The man sliced through his manifestation, sending him back, then the demon woman, with the strange weapon, she hit him and again, the ectotheric energy he had aquired had been sapped, sending him back yet again. He had to rethink his strategy, Footman had deactivated the machine, leaving him to resort to feeding off the spirits here for the energy he needed.
but just going after random hosts was just not working. So he laid in the grave, storing up ectotheric energy as he fed and plotted. the albino had not been around, the wards could not hold him any longer, now it was just a matter of biding his time…

I was afraid of this. All I did was push him to consume the others. Still, I suppose that if he’d gotten hold of me he’d be loose now to do whatever it is he had in mind.
Hmm . .
If we knew exactly which grave he’s resting in maybe we could exhume it and surround it with something similar to the lightning, say a lightning cage, for instance?
