Brother Falodir is the first lapine to be accepted as a resident novice at the Church school. He was denied entrance to the Engineering Academy because of his underdeveloped hands, as his family was too poor to afford the childhood braces that would have corrected the curve ball that his Moreau heritage had thrown him. Rather than abandon his dream, he chose to develop his mind through mathematical training, so that he might be able to work with those that build. His primary forte is in Mnemonics.
James was Jerome Monk’s study partner, but failed to pass his exit exams at the same time that Jerome did. Jerome wrote frequent letters of encouragement until he disappeared on his journey-year in Mondrago.
