((OOC–Bit of RP Veneration))

A the moment im in a sort of mid season break with regards to the Dark Aether.

It’s only short break on my side of things so dont panic. I use this time to see what everyone else is up to and to re-write, adapt and incorporate the mountain of story created by those who have spun off into their own plans.

For alot of you i dont think you will notice the break seeing as many are well engadged in their own story arcs.

So far i have been blown away by the amount of story content created this year and of the way people have adapted and run parralel with their own stories. Some of which i have no idea where they started but somehow they overlap with interesting twists and turns.

Others have stories that are keeping secrets to which im sure we are all wondering where it leads to.

The roleplaying this year has been amazing with things happening across the timezones with various small groups or ‘cliques’ working on their own part of the same story. This has been an interesting resault that i may look more into for future experiences.

It interests me how some people relish the confusion of not knowing whats going on, and those who find not knowing annoying and boring. New Babbage is a big RP community of roleplayersfrom many backgrounds and experience.

What i have loved so far….

The Church brothers creating their own Blunderbuss, prophecy forfilled.

The countless blog posts delving into the thoughts of many around New Babbage

The Mayor blaming the Dagon worshippers

The many instences where people have flitterd over the truth as if scared to spoil what they know for others :)

Would love to hear your thoughts so far. Any suggestions will be appreciated but not necessarily taken on board XD

Spread the love

I’m finding it very wonderfully involved! There are some I wish I could get to interact with more ICily, but some things just don’t work out in favor of it for various reasons. I’ve been thrilled by how many angles I see turning up, whether in IC encounter or OOC knowledge from reading the posts. You’ve really made a real inspiring work of art here, Loki!

I’m amazed by how the RP is working throughout the community. Have not had this much fun since Ultima Online!

i’ve got a lot of thoughts on this year’s installment, very experimental and interesting and i am very curious to see what happens in act 2. i think a break in the action is exactly what we need right now. let’s get ready to head over to Winterfell for a great fleet week!

I have to admit I’ve been hooked since that day I was off work and Moriarty attacked me with lightning bolts back in 08.

It’s always fun to see how many directions something can go based on differing perceptions of things.

((Long time residents can think back to 2007 and the original “Eliot Affair” that began this ever-continuing story and its myriad tributaries.  It’s becoming an extended history, and epic stuff!))

As Jimmy says, it is truly epic stuff and I have looked forward to October all year. I love what you do with the depth of the story and characters, and how it leads to utterly engaging and immersive RP in all sorts of directions. I am hooked :)

Prophecy my eye. Whoever is controlling that writing repeater is attempting to control us with cheap sideshow tricks and carnie fortunetelling.

*watches two students run furiously towards the pit trap with a handful of crabs behind them*

We got more samples, Nap. Let’s try the new configuration and see if it gives these blunderbusses more kick.
