Bookworm enters the New Babbage Militia headquarters, sits down at a desk, and writes a note.
MILITIA ALERT!
Reports are coming in of strange, crab-like creatures being seen in the areas around the strange machines. The creatures may be aggressive; approach with extreme caution. There has also been a report of the creatures attacking Miss Avariel Falcon’s power station; militia members are requested to keep a discrete eye on it until arrangements can be made for a more formal guard.
Bookworm posts the note where it will be seen, and hurries home, wondering about the machine by the side of her house…
Dear Miss Bookworm,
Considering the recent events I agree that it would be prudent to have a militia presence at the Clockhaven Power Station. I will organise security access for members of the militia to the Clockhaven site for the duration of the current state of emergency.
Best Regards,
Avariel Falcon.
Administrator, Aetheric Power & Engineering Company of New-Babbage.
Well, someone is bound to forward that message for her seeing as how she’ll be quite unable to herself if she hadn’t already, <unhinged laughter before he walks away>

-SAILORS (especially) AND CITIZENS BE WARNED – A nasty case of crabs has broken out near the power station and left the city with an itch it can’t scratch. Without a solution is could leave us all a little pinched.
In Other News: Rumor has it the Commodore is ordering the New Babbage Marines, under Lt. Beckett, into Clockhaven…”
