My first few days in New Babbage.

Before coming to New Babbage all my assistant and I had were hopes dreams and just enough money to get us where we were headed. To New Babbage, to start our lives – both personal as well as professional – anew. My mentor’s last words of wisdom to me were , “Go to New Babbage. There your life will truly begin as a molder and helper of people.”

I would like to think that so far, Arnold and I haven’t had that bad of luck. We’ve met new people, learned to fence (which is right good fun, by the way,) and I’ve gone on an exciting hunt for some neat things. Some people think that psychology and psychiatry are boring. I can’t lie to you, sometimes they are. But when I think of all the new experiements that Arnold and I can do here in New Babbage, I get fluttery-eyed. It always makes me smile to think of new ways to help people and listen to their stories, so I throughly hope that my compatriot and I can find work here.

Going to new places is always a fun time. And having someone who you know and trust with you at almost all times is as good a place to start as any. With any luck, we may just make it in New Babbage. With all of these interesting people, I have a great amount of hope.

Spread the love

Welcome to New Babbage. Be careful not to swim in the canals.

Ah, and welcome to New Babbage.  I am but a yearling here, but the community is full of wonders. I wandered in world for three years, settling for reasonable periods of time in divers places that were just not, well, ever-so-much-more-so, before finding a handbill advertizing the opportunities to be found in the Sooty City. There is always something happening. The entrepreneurial and creative spirits are legion here, and, as many can attest, research subjects are in plentiful supply. If the (presumably) late Mr Underby were here, he could tell you!

The two of you may feel free to call on me, I reside at the Mechanix Arms, if you are interested in the experiences of a fairly recent immigrant and a cup of langsang-soochong tea. In any event, well met and good luck! Be brave and adventurous, after all, what could possibly go wrong?

Welcome to New Babbage… make sure you take the time to take a scenic ride to Bump. What could possibly go wrong?

Mr Lionheart! Have not seen you in a bit! Your advise for three way valves in the Phologeston Problem did the trick!

Yes, Mr Lionheart! I was hoping to see you as soon as possible. And of course, Mr Glaubrius. Arnold and I will make a point to see you in the future!
