Launch of the Clockhaven Chronicles!

My Fellow Babbagers!

You are cordially invited by Penny Gaff Publishing to celebrate the launch of the Clockhaven Chronicles, a serialized “dollar dreadful” for fans of Steampunk, Second Life, and the SteamLands.

The event will be held on the 11th of November, at 1700SLT, at the Wexhome Wondrous Wares Emporium in Clockhaven. Mr. Blackberry Harvey will be providing entertainment (MC/DJ) during the festivities. We’ll have dancing, socializing, and opportunity to meet people involved in the story (some of the characters) and the publishing company, among other things.

This launch will see the release of the 1st Edition Clockhaven Chronicles as a publication both inworld and out (ePub on the web). For those attending the launch, a 1st Edition copy will be given out for free.

Please peek in on this for periodic updates!

Yours’ Very Sincerely,

The Reporter

-UPDATE- The Chronicles is about ready to go to the presses! We did, however, make a small discovery…we have some more room for advertisements at the back of the addition. SO – as a token of appreciation to the fine people of the Steam Lands, we here at Penny Gaff, would like to offer the space available FOR FREE to a few lucky fellow entrepreneurs! Submissions must be in the style of the period and must be submitted my October 27th! Please send your submissions to (

Today is the last day to get your submissions in for free advertising in the Clockhaven Chronicles. If you have an idea or business, RL or SL, and would like to see it advertised via our publication (which will sell on a private site, iTunes, B&, and Amazon – AS WELL AS INWORLD – ), please have it in to the attached email NLT 0000 hrs (PST), 27 October 2011. Thank you to those who have already submitted!

Our Website has just launched, please have a look:

Fascinating! And good to see Penelope’s name around these parts again.  If I am able I will attend.

What format should the advertising be in?

    • The Reporter The Reporter October 21, 2011

The advertising may be in pdf, jpeg, or png. We would prefer that it be black & white, for this edition, and that it be done in the advertisement styles of the late 19th century.

Also, these advertisements need not only relate to SL. We are eager to accept any manner of business advertisement, so long as you can “steampunk – it”.

If you have any specific concerns, prior to submission…or would like some help, please feel free to contact one of us at the email address provided.

          We are working with a space of 1200px x 1700px, broken into varying sizes. 1 advert = 600px x 850px. 1 advert = 600px x 700px. 1 advert = 600px x 425px. And 2 adverts, each = 300px x 425px.

          Make sense?

Very good question – I apologize for not including that in my post.
