July 15th – A Trap in the Eyes

The M-Bots were finally in place, and they beeped at him a few times.  He still couldn’t understand them but it seemed they were finally ready.

The cat hid behind the wall in case something did happen, and from the other side he heard them moving about, pulling and hitting the device, but it didn’t take long before Arnold was gripping his ears in pain as a small explosion rocked the side of the building.

Arnold ran outside after he was sure that it was over and looked down at the only M Bot that hadn’t been thrown off the wall.  It was in pieces and powering down as it repeated an s.o.s signal again and again before it faded away.

Arnold growled as he realized the things were protected by explosives as well…anyone who did tamper with it wouldn’t survive that way to tell anyone else how to do it right.  Then again maybe this one was only meant for Professor Lionheart…he had mentioned it was bigger than the ones at the Cocoa Java…

The damage to the area was not terrible, the walls themselves would be fine though the balcony would need to be repaired by the crew when they were in more control. It was the device which was in shambles now.  Still there were pieces he could collect and Lionheart and he might be able to find a way to work around the devices explosive properties if they had enough to work with.

He took the equipment to Dr. Maddox’s room and called the Professor.
