Adaptation to city life is commencing. Gave last revision of journal to Miss Junie, who said that the style still lacks soul. This may be an insurmountable obstacle. Currently working on acquiring additional source material and exemplars of ‘personal journal prose’. Will attempt recompile of writing code as soon as additional information has been gathered.
Located several additional examples of writing for analysis:
Personal diary, author Njal Edwin, located in void space in floorboards of apartment currently occupied by Mr. Dorchester above the Bucket or Blood public house. 39 pages. Returned to owner.
Letters, author Junie Ginsburg, located on coffee table in Gangplank public house. 8 pages. Left in situ.
Memo book, author Abigail Sharpe, located under cushion of upholstered chair, Gangplank public house, 43 pages, 36 decipherable. Unable to locate owner, placed in cashbox of Ganplank.
Unclassified writing, author unknown (suspect female writer), located in drawers behind the bar, Gangplank public house, 53 pages. Returned to location of discovery.
Based on this sample section, will begin recompile of writing code during down cycles.
During exploration of the city, located the New Babbage Athenaeum. Analysis of analytical engine mechanism is not fully complete. Currently able to interface with system, albeit at sub-optimal transfer levels. Will begin to utilize information in mechanical analytical engine to better adapt and integrate with indigenous population.
Located information on handbill about local wanted individual. Made inquiry to City Hall and was advised suspect is still wanted by authorities in city.
Acquired suitable clothing for travel. Located appropriate geographic data for extended region around city in an initial radius of 400 kilometers.
Conducted initial route of travel likelihood analysis, and statistical model indicates a highest likely potential for a return to city of origin.
Left note for Miss Juniper. Began travel towards vicinity of Ravila.
