[13:02] Mosseveno Tenk: Soooo. what’s on your mind?
[13:02] Tepic Harlequin: doesn’t seem to mean you are about to crash, which it always used to for me…..
[13:03] Mosseveno Tenk: red map means that you are becoming seperated from the region, somehow.
[13:03] Bookworm Hienrichs: Vernden Jervil was asking about Fleet Week.
[13:03] Ceejay Writer: Adn should probably see a lawyer about dividing the assets.
[13:03] Jimmy Branagh still doesn;t know what that means
[13:03] Mosseveno Tenk: fleet week, right
[13:03] Mosseveno Tenk: usualy in mid november
[13:03] Nymlet: and..that it wants half of your things?
[13:03] Ceejay Writer: Fleet Week! *confetti*
[13:04] Jimmy Branagh: We have Fleet Week this year?
[13:04] Nymlet: Ceejay beat my to the joke…
[13:04] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): where is it this year?
    [13:04] Ceejay Writer: Great minds.
[13:04] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): Hi everyone.
[13:04] Mosseveno Tenk: i am assuming armada does not have the space or prims to ever host, yes?
[13:04] Ceejay Writer: Its very tight there, yes.
[13:04] Mosseveno Tenk: has it been in steelhead yet?
[13:04] Ceejay Writer: We tend to glom onto Blake Sea as our extension these days.
    [13:04] Bookworm Hienrichs: I don’t think so.
    [13:04] Mosseveno Tenk nods
[13:04] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): does steelhead have enough space?
[13:05] Ceejay Writer: They have the water – not sure about other details.
[13:05] Mosseveno Tenk: i would *guess* steelhead as the most likely location, though nothing has been discussed with Lunar. Caledon is also a possiblity.
[13:05] Nymlet: stealhead chieftain was here yesterday
[13:05] Mosseveno Tenk: both have sufficient water.
[13:05] Jimmy Branagh: Th’ lady looks cold
    [13:05] Jimmy Branagh coughs
[13:05] Osric Worbridge: But the air in Steelhead is .., unwholesome …

  2. Mr Tenk Mr Tenk September 22, 2012

[13:06] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): steelheads port might have enough free prims…..
    [13:06] Fire Broono: lol Jimmy
    [13:06] Nymlet waves to Nat
    [13:06] Edward Pearse: Heh
    [13:06] Jimmy Branagh: Hoy Nat
[13:06] Mosseveno Tenk: yep, i do talk to lunar and tensai regularly. you might hear us joking around wtih some friendly trash talk in chat now and then, but that’s just because we like each other.
    [13:06] Fire Broono: hi Nat
[13:06] Mosseveno Tenk: trick or treats
    [13:07] Edward Pearse: Treat please
[13:07] Mosseveno Tenk: stormy stillwater has stepped forward to coordinate trick or treats this year
[13:07] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): Hi nathaniel
    [13:07] Jimmy Branagh: Yay!
[13:07] Mosseveno Tenk: anything else you want to do for halloween?
[13:08] Tepic Harlequin: that’s the end of October?
[13:08] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): trick or tratin basically covers it….
[13:08] Nymlet: bring out a host of ghosts?
[13:08] Jimmy Branagh: There will be parties
    [13:08] Mosseveno Tenk nods
    [13:08] Edward Pearse: Yup
[13:08] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): whoever is running FTF on that week will do the halloween party for it
[13:08] Mosseveno Tenk: i don’t know if the ghost train will make an appearance or not.
[13:08] Jimmy Branagh: We haven;t done anything else citywide, have we?
[13:08] Ceejay Writer: So you make really amazingsootmasks and wear them in Steelhead. Problem solved in style
[13:09] Mosseveno Tenk: but that’s a ghost for you.. never shows up when you expect it
[13:09] Ceejay Writer: (that was late, sorry, rl)
[13:09] Mosseveno Tenk: city wide, jimmy?
[13:09] Mosseveno Tenk: you mean as in a story line?
[13:09] Jimmy Branagh: All of New Babbage
[13:09] Jimmy Branagh: Other that t&t.
    [13:09] Jimmy Branagh: than
[13:09] Mosseveno Tenk tugs on his beard
    [13:09] Edward Pearse: Halloween Parade?
[13:09] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): maybe some short ghost stories for the tales thing on radio riel, grab a few folks and shove a mic infront of them
[13:09] Edward Pearse: Prize for best float

[13:10] Ceejay Writer: I love the Ghost Train. I hope it returns. It’s always pulled the community closer.
[13:10] Jimmy Branagh: Parades can be an exercise in patience
[13:10] Mosseveno Tenk: maybe we can have some of our old story shows played… i would not mind hearing the bodysnatcher again
[13:10] Mosseveno Tenk: parades are hard…
[13:10] Jimmy Branagh: Story readings are always good
    [13:10] Edward Pearse: Morning Baron
[13:10] Mosseveno Tenk: is, um, someone working on the zombie plague innoculation?
[13:10] Mosseveno Tenk: we’re going to need that this year.
[13:10] Jimmy Branagh: Hallo Herr Baron
[13:10] Ceejay Writer: GAthering in a venue for playing shows, run them all day, let people come and go
[13:10] Nymlet: i used to live rather close to one of the most haunted places in Sweden…
[13:10] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): Hi baron
[13:10] Glaubrius Valeska: Unles our Typists have Silent Kino voices…
[13:10] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): Hallo, everyone.
[13:11] Mosseveno Tenk: i also need soeone that is good at making avatars for a freebie npc sort of character
    [13:11] Nymlet: Pappy is inbound
    [13:11] Ceejay Writer: Hi Baron!
[13:11] Edward Pearse: We could try a Halloween movie screening?
[13:11] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): i think grendel is running the world zombie day thing this year
[13:11] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): One of my Liaisons is rather gifted that way, I could ask her.
[13:11] Glaubrius Valeska: Guten Tag Herr Baron
    [13:11] Mosseveno Tenk nods
[13:11] Ceejay Writer: *nod* I love inworld movie showings
[13:11] Edward Pearse: Since we have a couple of thatres that never get used
[13:11] Mosseveno Tenk: if the vaccinations are not successful
[13:11] Mosseveno Tenk: and if they are….
[13:11] Elilka Sieyes: oh yes :)
[13:11] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): Do you have the avatar’s parameters?
    [13:11] Mosseveno Tenk: well….
[13:11] Mosseveno Tenk stares at Emerson
[13:12] Glaubrius Valeska: Nosferatu at the Theater!
[13:12] Mosseveno Tenk: something else will probably surface…
    [13:12] Emerson Lighthouse perks up
[13:12] Edward Pearse: Plaything to Martian Princesses
[13:12] Emerson Lighthouse: I have the parameters herr Baron
[13:13] Mosseveno Tenk: yes, emerson has the parameters of the not-zombies.
[13:13] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): Bitte, if I might have a copy, I will surely ask her.
[13:13] Mosseveno Tenk: not sure how many of you remember how the mole men plot was done
[13:14] Edward Pearse: It was Ceejay’s fault wasn’t it?
[13:14] Ceejay Writer: (afk for about ten minutes, will catch up with chatwhen back)
    [13:14] Ceejay Writer: NO!
[13:14] Mosseveno Tenk: but it relied heavily on people making some red shirt alts and running around in those mole avatars doc made.
[13:14] Ceejay Writer: *laughs and runs*
    [13:14] Jimmy Branagh chuckles
[13:14] Mosseveno Tenk: and it was ceejay’s fault
    [13:14] Mosseveno Tenk grins
[13:14] Mosseveno Tenk: snowfall will be the fourth weekend in november, as always.
[13:14] Nymlet: oh, id love making an alt to be a NPC
[13:14] Mosseveno Tenk: there will be plenty of notice, as always.
    [13:14] Jimmy Branagh: Cool
[13:14] Edward Pearse: There are alts in Babbage? No!
[13:15] Nathaniel Lorefield: ohhh, can we freeze the entire harbor over?
[13:15] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): there are, I am one :P~~
[13:15] Mosseveno Tenk: and there will be the annual scramble for prims, as always, but since everyone has been meshing like crazy, maybe there will be more ice and snow this year.
[13:15] Jimmy Branagh: Leave a thin spot for the skaters?
    [13:15] Nathaniel Lorefield: hehe
[13:15] Mosseveno Tenk: i don’t like freezing the harbor because its difficult to deal with teh horizon. i do freeze iron bay.
[13:15] Edward Pearse: Couple of phantom prims on the top too…

  3. Mr Tenk Mr Tenk September 22, 2012

    [13:16] Nymlet: Hmm..
[13:16] Mosseveno Tenk: the canals freeze after the snow falls, this is not a quick thing on my part.
[13:16] Nathaniel Lorefield: could freeze way out to the edge and have it fade off before sim edge
[13:16] Mosseveno Tenk: the ice is probaly harder than the snow to put out.
[13:16] Tepic Harlequin: takes time for em to freeze….
[13:16] Nymlet: well.. as ist saltwater, i guess’ it shopuld be ok to just freeze the inner parts and then fade oout to sea
[13:16] Mosseveno Tenk: becuase of all teh shimming that has to be done for the crossings, and working around lot lines.
[13:16] Mosseveno Tenk: might be a few floes happening out there, who knows.
[13:17] Mosseveno Tenk: we have more powerful tools for bulding than we’ve ever had before.
[13:17] Mosseveno Tenk: and the city is relaly looking great for it.
[13:17] Edward Pearse: Don’t sail any ships called The Titan
[13:17] Mosseveno Tenk: the details you’ve been able to add to your builds has really bumped up the realism
[13:17] Mosseveno Tenk: but we’re still loosing teh heavy hardware.
    [13:17] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): mmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
    [13:17] Mosseveno Tenk shrugs
    [13:17] Nymlet: *googles ‘floe’ *
[13:17] Edward Pearse: I always love winter in Babbage
[13:18] Jimmy Branagh: Yeh winter’s the best
[13:18] Mosseveno Tenk: just something to think about as you build. what can you put in the back lots and rooftops to get some chunky machinery back into teh mix?
[13:18] Mosseveno Tenk: another thing on builds, while i’m on it….
[13:18] Fire Broono makes note to buil;d machine
[13:18] Mosseveno Tenk: if you can.
[13:18] Mosseveno Tenk: get the scultps out fo the builds, as much as possible. expecially the windows.
[13:19] Mosseveno Tenk: they are rezzing slower and slower.
[13:19] Edward Pearse: Might have to relook at the Gut buildings
[13:19] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): Do you recommend window frames from any particular shop?
[13:19] Mosseveno Tenk: and frankly, you can get a lot better window for a lot less land impact with mesh.
[13:19] Mosseveno Tenk: i recommend build to fit, if you have the tool to do it with.
[13:19] Jimmy Branagh: Plus you can recover a number of prims
[13:19] Tepic Harlequin: they are fun to build…..
    [13:19] Elilka Sieyes nods.
[13:19] Fire Broono: i don’t have a meshy studio to do that yet, Mr Tenk
[13:19] Mosseveno Tenk: yes, there are lots of people in town with mesh studio

[13:20] Tepic Harlequin: or straight from Blender :-)
[13:20] Mosseveno Tenk: that is a build to fit prim to mesh system that is well proven here.
[13:20] Mosseveno Tenk: rigtht, if you can do blender, that’s even better.
[13:20] Mosseveno Tenk: this isnb’t a critical tenk says you have to do it now thing
[13:20] Mosseveno Tenk: but it is something that should be on yuor list
[13:21] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): tenk is staring at you all…remove sculpts NOW!!!!
    [13:21] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): *cough*
    [13:21] Mosseveno Tenk laughs
    [13:21] Amadeus Hammerer: lol
[13:21] Edward Pearse: If people are looking at prefabs, Sculpty Republic has some nice Victoian mesh sets – doors, windows and bits
[13:21] Mosseveno Tenk: i can’t help but notice those windows at portside books take longer andn longer to rez each time.
[13:22] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): ahhhhhhhh yeah seen those…really nice, some of them are a bit too fancy…but the others are nice
[13:22] Jimmy Branagh laments he has so much sculptie art
[13:22] Mosseveno Tenk: sculpty republic is definaltey the cadillac store for stuff like that.
[13:22] Brandon Pappentas: So does Brandon..
[13:22] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): It can be a convenient place to start, prefabricated units.
[13:22] Mosseveno Tenk: but realy, they are not very hard to build.
[13:22] Mosseveno Tenk: and kinda fun too.
[13:22] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): i made it a point to rip out all the sculpts from the old version of brunel….but there was so many of them….i just rebuilt the entire building….
    [13:22] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): twice…
    [13:23] Elilka Sieyes: XD
[13:23] Nymlet: did they recover that lone tentacle in the harbor sky?
[13:23] Jimmy Branagh: Third time pending
[13:23] Edward Pearse: And I’m sure if you twist a few arms or something there are people willing to help you convert your stuff
[13:23] Mosseveno Tenk: yeah, if you got any questions on how to use mesh studio. go bother mornington. he’s got a few builds done with it now.
[13:23] Brandon Pappentas: The water snakes have started flying in Wheatstone!
[13:23] Edward Pearse: He lies Jimmy. He did the third in secret already
    [13:23] Jimmy Branagh laughs
[13:24] Jimmy Branagh: Oy suspected as much!
[13:24] Mosseveno Tenk: but don’t ask me to build for you… i really can’t meet the commitments i’ve already got. and i’ve still not got to my own stuff that needs rebuilding.
[13:24] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): so, it is possible to do a large (brunel is 120m pool to bar walls, 70m front to back, 40m tall) building VERY easilly with mesh studio just converting over the exiting prim build….
[13:24] Mosseveno Tenk sends a note to Henry about the snakes.
    [13:24] Mosseveno Tenk: i
[13:24] Mosseveno Tenk: ll take care ofthe snakes
    [13:24] Nymlet: famous last words…
    [13:24] Edward Pearse: Snakes?
    [13:24] Mosseveno Tenk: srizzle snakes
    [13:24] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): phaedras pets….

  4. Mr Tenk Mr Tenk September 22, 2012

[13:25] Brandon Pappentas: Wheatstone’s alive with the little buggers.
[13:25] Mosseveno Tenk: snakes on a… nevermind
    [13:25] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): :D
[13:25] Ceejay Writer: (back, and yeah, was my fault tenk!)
[13:25] Mosseveno Tenk looks for his notes and doesn’t find them again
[13:25] Fire Broono: i knew it
    [13:25] Jimmy Branagh: ((wb!))
[13:25] Mosseveno Tenk: see? its always ceejays fault
[13:25] Nymlet: you should get a snakestick.. i had a captn once possessed with snakesticks…
[13:25] Edward Pearse: That’s one of those geometry puns right?
[13:25] Mosseveno Tenk: unless it is victors
    [13:25] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): :o
[13:25] Mosseveno Tenk: can i get some feedback on teh trollies?
[13:25] Mosseveno Tenk: yes? no? like them? do n’t like them?
[13:26] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): the trollies are great! they dont kill anyone now
[13:26] Nymlet: i love the new ones with open top!
    [13:26] Jimmy Branagh: Love ’em
[13:26] Brandon Pappentas: I think they work well!
[13:26] Edward Pearse: Love the trams!
[13:26] Tepic Harlequin: the new ones? they are good, very smooth!
[13:26] Mosseveno Tenk: i like the advertising on them
    [13:26] Mosseveno Tenk: nice touch
[13:26] Fire Broono likes the trollies
[13:26] Tepic Harlequin: and have space for adverts!
[13:26] Cessadia Thetan: I find them very convenient. Much easier than walking everywhere.
[13:26] Brandon Pappentas: Rode them for half an hour last week!
[13:26] Nymlet: i was wondering who you pay to get to advertise on one :)
[13:26] Edward Pearse: Any plans to reopen the Oldbridge line?
[13:26] Mosseveno Tenk: i’m going to take down the aerial tram, those are pre-mesh and not looking too good
    [13:26] Brandon Pappentas: Hooray!
    [13:26] Nathaniel Lorefield makes note
[13:27] Mosseveno Tenk: and going to ask the trolly boys to put in a water taxi for the canal districts
[13:27] Fire Broono: helps me keep the milage off me Benz Motorwagon
[13:27] Nathaniel Lorefield: I was actually gonna suggest that
    [13:27] Nymlet: great idea
    [13:27] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): water taxi! \o/
[13:27] Ceejay Writer: I love the trollies. And the adverts are wonderful.
[13:27] Edward Pearse: Send Tosh a note about tram ads. They’re free
[13:27] Elilka Sieyes: hm, I was actually thinking less the canal bit and more around the ‘coastline’
[13:27] Mosseveno Tenk: it will connect the city hall lagoon, piermont, and iron bay
[13:27] Elilka Sieyes: across the bay.
[13:27] Ceejay Writer: Whast are the dimensions needed for a tram ad?
    [13:27] Nymlet: got it Eddie
[13:27] Mosseveno Tenk: well, not quite into piermont. you’d get sucked into the turbines
    [13:27] Tepic Harlequin: 1 *5
    [13:27] Bookworm Hienrichs chuckles.
    [13:27] Ceejay Writer: Thanky.
    [13:28] Edward Pearse: 1024 x 256
[13:28] Glaubrius Valeska: Old gouty men fancy trollies
[13:28] Nymlet: put a net infront of the turbines
[13:28] Elilka Sieyes: I always imagine that in Babbage you’d have some sort of urchin-inna-rowboat setup to get from the book shop in the port to clockhaven.
[13:28] Mosseveno Tenk: the water taxi will be derezzed during canal freeze
[13:28] Nymlet: …and make the boat get sucked violently to it..
[13:28] Brandon Pappentas: You got it Glaubius
[13:28] Osric Worbridge: For winter skating I think I can talk Ahab’s into having a hot chocolate stand and warming station.
[13:28] Nathaniel Lorefield: I’d just shut it off, freeze it in the ice if possible
[13:28] Edward Pearse: There’s a new design for the Taxi right there – mesh urchin :-)
[13:28] Ceejay Writer: Maybe I will make a winter skating hat. (likes making hats)
[13:28] Mosseveno Tenk: and go devil racing
    [13:28] Pilipo Underwood: There’s a water taxi?
[13:29] Mosseveno Tenk: there will be
    [13:29] Nathaniel Lorefield: not *yet
[13:29] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): there will be a water taxi….not done yet
[13:29] Mosseveno Tenk: might come back to the aerial sky tram later, but for right now, its coming down.
[13:29] Tepic Harlequin: competition for building a Water Taxi?
[13:29] Elilka Sieyes: time-before-last at RFL we had afrost fair. might be fun to try that in NB some time.
[13:29] Edward Pearse: We could get a Tenk figurehead on the bow? :-)
[13:29] Jimmy Branagh: ((Oy have a mesh urchin, with a gun :) ))

  5. Mr Tenk Mr Tenk September 22, 2012

[13:30] Fire Broono: oh great, now they are armed
[13:30] Brandon Pappentas: Can I suggest extending the tram into Wheatstone?
[13:30] Arnold (gager): They’ve been armed.
[13:30] Tepic Harlequin: hehehe we have always been armed!
[13:30] Edward Pearse: The urchins have always been armed
[13:30] Nathaniel Lorefield: the water taxi will go into wheatstone
[13:30] Mosseveno Tenk: or just go with soemthing now, and i’ll put the water taxi on for oiling festival, since that happens right after thaw.
    [13:30] Fire Broono: ☻
[13:30] Mosseveno Tenk: and we can have a new taxi model then.
    [13:30] Brandon Pappentas: OK.
[13:30] Jimmy Branagh: SHhh … don;t tell nobody!
[13:30] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): too hard Brandon….the tram lines would need to bridge the canals….
[13:31] Nathaniel Lorefield: I can get something together for tosh to mesh
[13:31] Nathaniel Lorefield: to suffice for now
[13:31] Brandon Pappentas: Hmmm Iguess so.
[13:31] Nymlet: cant the trams go on bridges?
[13:31] Mosseveno Tenk: its very difficult to get a tram into wheatstone. i think we’re better off with using the canals, since that is where most of the corridors are. and i have been building landings on the high lots.
[13:31] Brandon Pappentas: It’s the lifting bridges?
[13:31] Nathaniel Lorefield: it;s mainly that we don;t have many wide paths in wheatstone to run them down
    [13:32] Nymlet: aha
[13:32] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): yeah but a line would need to be driven into canals and wheatstone which means new bridges which also means cuttinginto folks land or sucking up the little prims that are left on public land….too risky….
[13:32] Mosseveno Tenk: right, they dry corridors just don’t exist in wheatstone, i had to open that one for the sky tram track.
[13:32] Brandon Pappentas: OK _ I always fancied Venice anyway.
[13:32] Pilipo Underwood: Holding the H2O taxi until oiling fest satisfies the Rake
    [13:32] Elilka Sieyes: taxi-building oiling fest :D
[13:32] Tepic Harlequin: going to be fun watching em lay the tracks for the Water Taxi……
[13:33] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander) chuckles
[13:33] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): dont need tracks for a water taxi….its a boat tepic :)
[13:33] Elilka Sieyes: Tepic I ‘ve seen that in Civ – you just put a settler on a boat…
[13:33] Edward Pearse: Oddly, Venice was the inspiration for the canals. Nobody did any Venice style building though apart from Kandace :-)
[13:33] Mosseveno Tenk: right, lorefield, go ahead with whatever design you want for the initial taxi, and we’ll put the final version on for oiling festival in spring. that gives you time to tell me what the ideal parameters are for it too.
    [13:33] Ceejay Writer: Yeah.
[13:33] Fire Broono: i have one made Nat if you want it, let me know
[13:33] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): make them sinkable, so urchins can throw rocks at the passers by and down them….
[13:33] Nathaniel Lorefield: currently I am thinking narrowboat-ish
[13:33] Brandon Pappentas: As usual – free textures here.
[13:33] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): …actually that might not be a good idea
[13:33] Mosseveno Tenk: i dug a new canal straight through the iron bay district, it connects cavor with telford
    [13:34] Nathaniel Lorefield: splendid
[13:34] Edward Pearse: Named it yet? :-)
[13:34] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): Less ornamental than Winterfell’s ferry, I presume.
[13:34] Mosseveno Tenk: that has improved the look of that vacant gash on the west side there
    [13:34] Mosseveno Tenk ignores pearse
    [13:34] Edward Pearse: :-P
[13:34] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): The Vacant Gash Canal, apparently.
    [13:34] Edward Pearse: *snerks*
[13:34] Nymlet: id fancy some really blacksmoke oozing steampropelled thing….
[13:34] Pilipo Underwood: I ain’t got to explore the new Canal yet
[13:34] Mosseveno Tenk: the gut is another problem area for vacancy, so i might be tearing into the streets there too.

[13:35] Nymlet: not all to fancypants venicelike
[13:35] Mosseveno Tenk: i don’t know if the elevated track in iron bay is going to survive that.
[13:35] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): that whole area is a problem…im looking at the vacancy map :(
    [13:35] Mosseveno Tenk: we’ll see
[13:35] Pilipo Underwood: poorpants venice like?
[13:35] Nathaniel Lorefield: I was wondering if it could be lowered to the canal bank
[13:35] Nymlet: poorpants would be great
[13:35] Tepic Harlequin: Birmingham has more canals than Venice…..
[13:35] Edward Pearse: Anyone got any cousins they can convince to take up residency in Babbage?
[13:35] Glaubrius Valeska: The map is depressing
[13:36] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): Most of them are right now.
[13:36] Brandon Pappentas: We just need to make Babbage as interesting as possible..
[13:36] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): I have a builder fireend I am trying to persuade to take residence at babbage
[13:36] Mosseveno Tenk: the other vacant area is that residential district up in academy, called rutherford square. those are good starter lots, or for prefab homes. you can get away with a more traditional upscale house in taht neighborhood that might raise eyebrows elsewhre.
[13:36] Ceejay Writer: Reach further out. Can’t keep inbreeding tenants.
    [13:36] Jimmy Branagh chuckles
[13:36] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): yeah academy is where all the rich folks live…..
    [13:37] Edward Pearse: Pfft
    [13:37] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): :D
[13:37] Edward Pearse: Full of hotels
    [13:37] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): lmao
[13:37] Nathaniel Lorefield: speaking of reaching out
[13:37] Mosseveno Tenk: i mean,,, you could even put a pink victorian in there…. and i wouldn’t yell and scream about it.
[13:37] Jimmy Branagh: “Last Sim on the Left”
[13:37] Elilka Sieyes: full of hotel…
[13:37] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): Fraulein Ceejay has the right of it.
[13:37] Nathaniel Lorefield: I have a transportation question
[13:37] Nymlet: Eddie is building slumlordresidences in pallisades.
[13:37] Pilipo Underwood: got a friend who might come if we auctionied horses
[13:37] Edward Pearse: That sounds like a dare to me
[13:37] Mosseveno Tenk: transportation question aye?
[13:37] Ceejay Writer: Palisade was filled with starving artists at one time. Where have all the bohos gone, long time passing…..
[13:37] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): o.O i wouldnt go that far tenk, id yell and scream….
[13:37] Edward Pearse: Pink Victorian next to Miss Junie’s house :-)
[13:38] Mosseveno Tenk: great, i’ll watch victor yell and scream
[13:38] Edward Pearse: Can we record it too?
[13:38] Arnold (gager): Mumsy might get a kick out of that too.
[13:38] Ceejay Writer: Nuture an artist community again. There’s a BAZILLION artists craving their ego strokes on the grid.
[13:38] Nathaniel Lorefield: What about a train from our station to some of the other steamlands stations and obviously back to here??
[13:38] Mosseveno Tenk: no, seriously, just saying that district works good for more traditional housing that is not in the brick and warehouse theme that we so love here.
[13:38] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): we got one artist around town right now….Dee
[13:38] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): I have a builder firend I am trying to convince to live in babbage, but he’s not an artist
[13:38] Nymlet: isnt renting going down in general? all over?
[13:39] Ceejay Writer: Her Dark Materials has always been ripe for a gallery
[13:39] Mosseveno Tenk: nate, you mean like portals?
    [13:39] Edward Pearse: Yeah.
[13:39] Nathaniel Lorefield: the plan would be you pick up a ticket
[13:39] Nathaniel Lorefield: and then board the train, prolly on quarter hour intervals
[13:39] Edward Pearse: New Toulouse has downsized a bit. Caledon has lost quite a few sims
    [13:39] Mosseveno Tenk: yep
[13:39] Nathaniel Lorefield: train goes out into the fells tunnel, then teleports you to the enxt station
[13:39] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): All the Steamlands have occupation problems.
[13:39] Mosseveno Tenk: i’ve been doing some invisible downsizing here, the vernian is taking the hits.

  6. Mr Tenk Mr Tenk September 22, 2012

[13:40] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): ohhhhhhhhh using the LLTeleportAgent system nat?
[13:40] Ceejay Writer: Indeed. Even the one sim towns need to fill a few plots.
[13:40] Mosseveno Tenk: vernian sea is not going away
[13:40] Mosseveno Tenk: but vernian deep is.
[13:40] Osric Worbridge: but … I love my brick warehouse and soon it will be meeesh. :)
    [13:40] Nathaniel Lorefield: Yes
    [13:40] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): sweeeeeeeeeet
    [13:40] Edward Pearse: Actually
[13:40] Edward Pearse: I have a question on that
    [13:40] Mosseveno Tenk: ok
[13:41] Brandon Pappentas: I need someone to help me get my head around mesh stuff?
[13:41] Bookworm Hienrichs has something to bring up, too, when there’s room.
[13:41] Mosseveno Tenk: the ticket has not been written yet, so there’s a bit of a reprieve….
[13:41] Nymlet: is there ready to rent houses? or do you have to build?
[13:41] Edward Pearse: Any reason to move it back to where the Fells was? Since it’s just going to be a sandbox?
[13:41] Mosseveno Tenk: elleon should put that library back, i wanted to use it for story time tomorrow night
[13:41] Mosseveno Tenk: any reason to move deep to where the fells is now?
[13:41] Mosseveno Tenk: yeah, its cheaper for me that way.
    [13:42] Edward Pearse: No no
[13:42] Pilipo Underwood: Elleon thought she only had a week
[13:42] Nymlet: we are renting out loads of more ready houses then we are reanting out spaces to build on at our sims.
[13:42] Nathaniel Lorefield: I think he;s suggesting elaving it where it is
    [13:42] Edward Pearse: Yeah
[13:42] Mosseveno Tenk: eh, tenk got distracted with painting and plastering his attic and didn’t get teh ticket submitted in time.
[13:42] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): Mr Tenk likes the fells….and to be honest it does make good pictures….
[13:42] Mosseveno Tenk: then we’d loose the fells.
[13:42] Nathaniel Lorefield: I personally like the large open land space
[13:42] Mosseveno Tenk: the deep looks the same wiether it is there or not.
[13:42] Arnold (gager): I prefer the Fells to ocean.
    [13:42] Edward Pearse: Fair enough
    [13:43] Mosseveno Tenk: sorry…
    [13:43] Edward Pearse: Just curious
[13:43] Ceejay Writer: I prefer the ocean to the fells, but people are varied.
[13:43] Arnold (gager): We’d lose the sim expansion too, mountains.
[13:43] Mosseveno Tenk: i can’t justify keeping 2 empty homesteads. i don’t mind keeping one, because we need the work space.
[13:43] Amadeus Hammerer: I’ll miss the ocean for the ships
[13:44] Mosseveno Tenk: yeah, fells is doing an illusion of 3 sims with one.
[13:44] Edward Pearse: Yep got all that, it was just wondering why move the Vernian back to the Fells
[13:44] Mosseveno Tenk: if occupancy was better, i’d move deep into the empty spot west of palisades and fill in that hole.
[13:44] Mosseveno Tenk: where the quarry is supposed to be
[13:44] Pilipo Underwood: Ah, there is a load of compromisin’ on the road to our horizon

[13:45] Edward Pearse: And ruin my ocean sunset view!!!
[13:45] Ceejay Writer: Work on drawing people in first. Build some reasons for new blood to BE here.
[13:45] Elilka Sieyes raises a hand to go after Book.
[13:45] Ceejay Writer: The sims come after demand, methinks.
[13:45] Mosseveno Tenk: moving the sims around seems crazy, but if you saw my spreadsheet, it makes sense to do it that way.
    [13:45] Mosseveno Tenk: go book
[13:45] Osric Worbridge: It the deep tier price the better homestead?
[13:45] Mosseveno Tenk: yeah, its $30 less
[13:45] Bookworm Hienrichs: Tying in somewhat with occupancy discussions: Welcome Center.
    [13:45] Osric Worbridge: makes sense
    [13:45] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): \o/ welcome center
[13:45] Bookworm Hienrichs: Now that we’re past RFl, and summer, and I’m now mostly at home again, I’d like to get working on that.
[13:46] Brandon Pappentas: Hey! Who pull my plug out?
    [13:46] Nathaniel Lorefield throws confetti
[13:46] Mosseveno Tenk: just so you know, i can’t break even on the current homestead pricing of 125/mo at our current tier rate, even at the old rates.
[13:46] Nymlet: if its kept for building.. the fells are of more use. there are more landbased builds then underwater.
[13:46] Bookworm Hienrichs: But I could definitely use some help, and ideas what to put in there.
[13:46] Edward Pearse: Where is the Welcome Centre?
[13:46] Mosseveno Tenk: kaylee’s old build in port?
[13:46] Bookworm Hienrichs: Where we had the DJ-Off.
[13:46] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): kaylees old wharf shop in port abbbage
    [13:46] Edward Pearse: Ah OK
[13:46] Glaubrius Valeska: I would be available to help staff the welcome center.
    [13:47] Mosseveno Tenk: excellent
[13:47] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): book, i would trhow in everything in that welcome center….the lot….
[13:47] Tepic Harlequin: Arnold and i are having a re-opening of the Sneaky Vole on Oct 5th, will be trying to get people from the kids community to come, maybe generate urchin interest….
[13:47] Fire Broono: i love Kaylee’s old warf building
[13:47] Mosseveno Tenk: somewhre the boys in black won’t find it this time, tepic?
[13:47] Jimmy Branagh: Yeh urchin activity has really dropped off
[13:47] Tepic Harlequin: and of course everyone will be welcome, with free urchin outfits! ;-)
[13:47] Ceejay Writer: the more we threw at the welcome center in Armada, the more popular it became. Everything AND the kitchen sink.
[13:47] Bookworm Hienrichs: I don’t know that there’s room for everything and the kitchen sink in there, Victor. *grin*
    [13:47] Pilipo Underwood: Revinoor?
[13:47] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): Don’t forget to invite the Steelhead scamps.
[13:47] Arnold (gager): If they don’t mind the maze.
[13:47] Bookworm Hienrichs laughs at Ceejay.
[13:48] Arnold (gager): Or the secret entrances.
[13:48] Jimmy Branagh: Yes Herr Baron
[13:48] Nathaniel Lorefield: or the sharks
[13:48] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): a ring of large images above showing main pictures of all sims (its amazing how many folks dont realise new babbage is actually a collection of sims) notecards of RP, notecards on rules and a BIG HUGE MAP in the middle showing what land is for sale….
[13:48] Ceejay Writer: Also, book, consider a small event there every few weeks, AT the welcome center. Get the word well out far on it too.
[13:48] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander) smiles
[13:48] Nymlet: lots of freebies in the welcomecenter?
[13:48] Arnold (gager): Or the things that make it hard for tall people to get through.
[13:48] Osric Worbridge: Ahab’s will have a Grand reopening in Oct also.
[13:48] Nymlet: freebies always draws people…
[13:48] Edward Pearse: Might see about doing up a basic Babbage outfit as a freebie for the WC
[13:48] Bookworm Hienrichs: Freebies would be good, if folks can supply those.
[13:48] Ceejay Writer: I’ve had storytelling at Armada’s every few weeks and it’s raising heaps of awareness. Try it here.
[13:48] Mosseveno Tenk: October is always busy, so get your events on the calendar early , or be disappointed
[13:48] Elilka Sieyes: maybe our own freebies could include LM to the weclome spot too
    [13:48] Nymlet: I’ll chip in a couple
[13:48] Bookworm Hienrichs: (I certainly can’t. *wry grin*)
[13:48] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): I can try to bring residents in new babbage
[13:49] Elilka Sieyes: talking of events…
[13:49] Nymlet: i like giving stuff away
[13:49] Mosseveno Tenk: Dr. Watson, what did you have?
[13:49] Ceejay Writer: We had a basic Babbage outfit, didn’t we? In years past.
[13:49] Elilka Sieyes: About the roof hunt idea…I have not forgotten it, but RL has been a bit bruising.
[13:49] Brandon Pappentas: Yes Nym You’re very good at it – Note the vest!
    [13:49] Edward Pearse: Yes Ceejay
[13:49] Mosseveno Tenk: i like the roof hunt idea.
[13:49] Jimmy Branagh: WE should find a period where an influx of noobs won;t overpressure, and get back on teh Destination Guide
[13:49] Ceejay Writer: And actual Hunt – onroofs?

  7. Mr Tenk Mr Tenk September 22, 2012

[14:00] Fire Broono: hmm maybe our alts can get together Miss Ceejay
    [14:00] Fire Broono grins
[14:00] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): ohhhhh i got one last thing before Mr tenk runs off and hides from everyone staring at him…
[14:00] Mosseveno Tenk: the atmosphere feels very “safe” right now. tell me a story.
[14:00] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander) snickers at Sir Edward.
[14:00] Pilipo Underwood: How do you keep alts from getting friends? Be crabby alla time?
[14:00] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): Say ‘nein’ often.
    [14:00] Jimmy Branagh: Yup
    [14:01] Fire Broono nods nods
[14:01] Jimmy Branagh: Same with persistent IMs
[14:01] Edward Pearse: Being crabby doesn’t stop it. Just look at Tenk
[14:01] Brandon Pappentas: Awwww you got friends though Jimmy..
    [14:01] Ceejay Writer defriends Edward
    [14:01] Jimmy Branagh: Well, yeh
    [14:01] Nymlet: Tenk has friends?
[14:01] Mosseveno Tenk: yes ceejay, i do say something when it gets back to me
[14:01] Fire Broono: of course not Nymlet
[14:01] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander) chuckles
[14:01] Jimmy Branagh: I mean stalkerish IMs
[14:01] Bookworm Hienrichs: Your one last thing, Victor?
[14:01] Ceejay Writer: Good. Being obnoxious AND oblivious is just plain sad.
[14:02] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater) shyly raises a finger up: “may I give my opinion on sthg ?”
[14:02] Edward Pearse: I just stalk my wife :-)
[14:02] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): oops sorry….was trying to find my lighter…..where was i…..
[14:02] Bookworm Hienrichs whistles innocently as she hides the lighter in the folds of her skirts.
    [14:02] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): right…. the destination guide….isnt working….
[14:02] Jimmy Branagh: If they don’t stop, I remove their lips.
    [14:02] Fire Broono: lol Jimmy
[14:02] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): the guide just doesnt bring in the folks that we NEED in the city, because the folks we need are ignoring that guide now
[14:02] Mosseveno Tenk: and i’ve spent a very long time around sci-fi circuits, and know all the personality flaws that go with it. i was there too, once upon a time. then someone sat me down and rubbed my nose in it until my eyes were opened.
[14:03] Pilipo Underwood: Someone needs a snaredrum, we are missing out on the rimshots
[14:03] Jimmy Branagh: That’s true Vic
    [14:03] Edward Pearse: Yeah
[14:03] Mosseveno Tenk: right, i prolly didn’t have to go there with that….
[14:03] Mosseveno Tenk: but there it is…
[14:03] Ceejay Writer: Was good to go there.
[14:03] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater) puts her finger down, ppl won’t listen.
[14:03] Mosseveno Tenk hears the 2 o’clock bells.
    [14:03] Mosseveno Tenk: anyone else?
[14:03] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): with SL being added into Steam….i have heard from a few people that the dest guide will be partially dropped in favour of more emphasis on something which we have all ignored…..
[14:03] Edward Pearse: Make it quick Lucllle
[14:03] Ceejay Writer: Babbage needs thoughtful Outreach.
[14:03] Bookworm Hienrichs looks inquiringly at Miss Trayvou.
    [14:04] Jimmy Branagh: hehe
[14:04] Jimmy Branagh: Don;t be shy Miss Lucille
[14:04] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): I have sthg to tell about the occupation issue
[14:04] Ceejay Writer: there’s treasure out there, in the form of people that could enhance Babbage greatly, but you have to reach to them
[14:04] Mosseveno Tenk: go right ahead!
[14:04] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): in my opinion, if ppl barely settle here
[14:04] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): it is because of the requirements
[14:04] Mosseveno Tenk just remembers something else too
    [14:04] Fire Broono: sthg?
    [14:05] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): being a builder
[14:05] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): and such
[14:05] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): so….starting next time its my turn for FTF, im gonna start adding FTF into the Events Guide of LL….which will bring more folks in, folks with money….
[14:05] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): ppl don’t like to be told what to do
[14:05] Mosseveno Tenk: there’s no requirement to be a builder, but it does help
[14:05] Jimmy Branagh raises a ? over his head
[14:05] Mosseveno Tenk: some people are blunter than they have to be about it, yes. i agree with that.
[14:05] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): ppl usually don’t like too much of it
    [14:05] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): rules I mean
[14:06] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): maybe softening them a bit
[14:06] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander) raises an eyebrow
[14:06] Nathaniel Lorefield: rules maintain our atmosphere
[14:06] Brandon Pappentas: But there’s plenty of pre-fabs around?
[14:06] Edward Pearse: People are allowed to have prefabs here, just as long as they fit with the theme. Some buildings work better in certain locations
    [14:06] Mosseveno Tenk nods
[14:06] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): showing ppl in babbage are welcoming and nice
[14:06] Glaubrius Valeska: Is there a way to discuss this on the BAR without so much Pathological Diplomacy?
[14:06] Mosseveno Tenk: i know i was rushed when we talked last, because i was traveling.
[14:06] Elina ‘Holmes’ (elina.koskinen): I have a suggestion re: roof hunt. When is the thaw in New Babbage? March?
[14:06] Mosseveno Tenk: i’m feeling a lot less grumpier now than i have in years.
[14:06] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): its fine Mr Tenk
    [14:06] Edward Pearse: Oh No!
[14:06] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander) snorts quietly
    [14:06] Jimmy Branagh: Wot’s wrong?
[14:07] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): I just told you the way I first felt when coming here
    [14:07] Tepic Harlequin: blimey! …. oppppsss…. did i say that out loud?…
[14:07] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): then understood what babbage was
[14:07] Edward Pearse: Green fur for the Clockwinder! Stat!
[14:07] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): and now don’t want to leave it
[14:07] Mosseveno Tenk: i know in the past year i haven’t been in the best of frames of mind. that’s why i’ve been running around the country so much.
[14:07] Edward Pearse: And a bin
[14:07] Nymlet: yes.. it IS quite hard to get into the bunch
[14:07] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): I can try to bring ppl here, cause I feel well in here
[14:07] Ceejay Writer: That ties in to the welcome center. It could also be the education center, on what Babbage is about.
    [14:07] Bookworm Hienrichs nods.
    [14:07] Bookworm Hienrichs: Exactly.
[14:08] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): I ha ve a freind which seeks for a quiet place to build
[14:08] Mosseveno Tenk: dang, if you think its bad now… you shoulda been here during year 1. yikes.
[14:08] Fire Broono: I settled here BECAUSE of the rules for building in particualr.
[14:08] Fire Broono: and the cookies
[14:08] Mosseveno Tenk: and the booze
[14:08] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): yes, but few ppl are like you fire
[14:08] Bookworm Hienrichs: And I think it’d be helpful to have people available to talk to new folks one-on-one, to answer questions and explain things.
[14:08] Jimmy Branagh: Specially th’ booze
[14:08] Edward Pearse: Sheryl eats all the cookies anyway
[14:08] Bookworm Hienrichs: Not in a confrontational manner, but in a friendly and informative manner.
[14:08] Ceejay Writer: I settled here originally because I was utterly fangirling the builders and the city.
[14:08] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): Ha!
[14:08] Pilipo Underwood: Likker is good…
[14:08] Lucille Trayvou (holymary.loudwater): well each time I see a newcomer close to my home I welcome him and talk him about babbage
[14:08] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander) wonders where the little dragon is today.
[14:08] Elilka Sieyes points up briefly at Holmes’s query re thaw.
    [14:08] Nymlet: Hrrmm.. i never settled here… i just hangaround alot….
[14:09] Ceejay Writer: I was a pasty skinned vampire in short skirts and was welcomed. I learned.
[14:09] Nymlet: *hides her face in shame*
[14:09] Mosseveno Tenk: there are some very confrontational folks that frequent here htat are honestly trying to be helpful, and seem to have learned all thier social skills from forum trolls.
    [14:09] Mosseveno Tenk: mute works.
    [14:09] Edward Pearse: :-)
[14:09] Pilipo Underwood: have many likenesses of that, CeeJay?
[14:09] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander) looks wry
[14:09] Mosseveno Tenk: right, one last thing?
    [14:09] Mosseveno Tenk: BOOKS!
[14:09] Elina ‘Holmes’ (elina.koskinen): *coughs* CAN I ASK A QUESION?!
[14:09] Ceejay Writer: Yes I do, actually. No not sharing!
    [14:09] Mosseveno Tenk: yes, watson?
    [14:09] Pilipo Underwood: rats
    [14:09] Elina ‘Holmes’ (elina.koskinen): HOLMES! *cought* I mean…
[14:09] Ceejay Writer: I need to go – RL just careened in the driveway.
[14:09] Edward Pearse: That would be Holmes

[14:10] Glaubrius Valeska: Good day Ma’am
[14:10] Mosseveno Tenk: in past years, it has often been tied to things like sleeping in hostels in africa where yo uhave to haul buckets of water to your roomm to take a shower…
    [14:11] Mosseveno Tenk: BOOKS!
[14:11] Elina ‘Holmes’ (elina.koskinen): Alright, I suggest we have the roof hunt then. Becauswe of schedules of both WATSON *cough cough* and myself.

[14:11] Mosseveno Tenk: contact ceejay for guidelines, the editing process will happen over google documents
    [14:12] Bookworm Hienrichs nods.
    [14:12] Glaubrius Valeska: I am polishing mine…

[14:12] Mosseveno Tenk: and the other BOOK
[14:12] Bookworm Hienrichs: I need to volunteer my help for that, too.
[14:12] Mosseveno Tenk: is the clockhaven chronicles
[14:12] Jimmy Branagh: WOrk must be submitted by the last week in November. Forget the exact date
[14:12] Bookworm Hienrichs winces, remembering the wandering tenses in one story in volume 1.
[14:12] Mosseveno Tenk: #3 will be released on oct 29.
[14:12] Mosseveno Tenk: and it has been written by our own Emerson Lighthouse
[14:12] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander) has not seen Volume 1 because his promised copy never arrived
    [14:12] Edward Pearse: When’s Nanowrimo?
[14:12] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander) applauds
[14:12] Mosseveno Tenk: so stay tuned for a release party on that.
    [14:12] Pilipo Underwood: Wandering tensely?
[14:12] Jimmy Branagh: Izzat loike wanderin’ oye, Miss Book?
    [14:13] Bookworm Hienrichs: Worse, Jimmy.
    [14:13] Mosseveno Tenk: wandering tensai?
[14:13] Mosseveno Tenk: right, waaay over time. is there anything else?
[14:13] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): Remember the fundraiser for her this evening, bitte.
[14:13] Bookworm Hienrichs looks around, does not see a tall elf.
[14:13] Pilipo Underwood: Where IS that dang snare drum?
    [14:13] Jimmy Branagh: Yes!
[14:13] Elina ‘Holmes’ (elina.koskinen): Maybe I should grow a moustache.
[14:13] Elina ‘Holmes’ (elina.koskinen): And just become a doctor.
    [14:13] Bookworm Hienrichs chuckles.
[14:13] Mosseveno Tenk: fundraiser in steelhead tonight to help out tensai with her hospital bills?
    [14:14] Bookworm Hienrichs nods.
[14:14] Glaubrius Valeska: Wohin,, Herr Baron?
[14:14] Elina ‘Holmes’ (elina.koskinen): That would be al settled then.
    [14:14] Mosseveno Tenk nods
    [14:14] Bookworm Hienrichs: I’d be there if I could, but I can’t, so I won’t.
[14:14] Emerson Lighthouse perks up again after being afk-ish
[14:14] Bookworm Hienrichs: Did contribute a picture to the auction, though.
[14:14] Mosseveno Tenk: righto, class dismissed.

  9. Mr Tenk Mr Tenk September 22, 2012

and don’t forget the Engineer’s Ball next weekend, the official start of the social season!

  10. Mr Tenk Mr Tenk September 22, 2012

    [13:50] Mosseveno Tenk: yep
[13:50] Elilka Sieyes: I was going to ask for some people interested in making gifties/ hosting, but given it’s going all almost-winter, it’s probably a bit of a tough one to squeeze in.
[13:50] Edward Pearse: Buy a new grapple gun Ceejay
[13:50] Ceejay Writer: Do it do it do it, and get the info in the hunt groups and info centers.
[13:50] Edward Pearse: And a big pillow :-)
[13:50] Mosseveno Tenk: maybe it can be done in winter? much more chance of killing yourself in a fall that way
[13:50] Elilka Sieyes: but I’d like to ask if people could think whether they could :
    [13:50] Elilka Sieyes: a) make a gift
[13:50] Ceejay Writer straps pillow to tuckus, accidentaly re-invents the bustle.
[13:50] Elilka Sieyes: b) host a gift on their land
    [13:51] Mosseveno Tenk nods
[13:51] Elilka Sieyes: c) consider doing something interesting with their roof to maybe bridge a gap over to a nearby building etc or letting thaht happen for a while
[13:51] Fire Broono: i can Mr Sieyes
[13:51] Mosseveno Tenk: i really like that idea
[13:51] Ceejay Writer: My store is in Porrthead. But if Tesla would allow gifts on her roof…..
[13:51] Brandon Pappentas: My rooves are all available in Wheatstone.
[13:51] Mosseveno Tenk: mr broono has a very interesting roof in iron bay
[13:51] Elilka Sieyes: I don’t really know when is a good time citywise to try to do the hunt thing…but if you think of something, shove it in a folder called rooftop or some such.
    [13:51] Brandon Pappentas: roofs*
[13:52] Mosseveno Tenk: getting the route will be half the battle on that one.
[13:52] Edward Pearse: After thaw or during winter?
[13:52] Brandon Pappentas: There’s already the wakway over the canal?
    [13:52] Jimmy Branagh: ((brb))
[13:52] Mosseveno Tenk: no reason it can’t be done in winter.
[13:52] Elilka Sieyes: doesn’t have to be things between rooftops either – could be a way up to your roof from the ground.
[13:52] Nymlet: there are planks and walkways here and there
[13:52] Edward Pearse: January Feb is usually quiet
[13:52] Nymlet: but.. i think many will just fly…..
[13:52] Mosseveno Tenk: january mgiht be a good time for a hunt.
[13:53] Tepic Harlequin: heheh turn flying off ;-)
    [13:53] Mosseveno Tenk: no
[13:53] Osric Worbridge: Mr. Broono perhaps we can run some plank bridges from your place to the Merryman ironworks over to Ahab’s
[13:53] Mosseveno Tenk: that always annoys me, so i don’t turn it off. you can if you want on your own land.
[13:53] Elilka Sieyes: maybe could give a freebie small flying device if people really have to fly…I don’t know.
[13:53] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): Oct/Nov/Dec and January are the busy months, things start to go downheill during february as the weather starts to warm up…..
[13:54] Fire Broono: I’m sure we can get something goind Mr Worbridge
    [13:54] Fire Broono: going even
[13:54] Ceejay Writer will build tie-on buttpillows.
[13:54] Glaubrius Valeska: Snickety house has a Widow’s Watch, but is very distant from anything
[13:54] Mosseveno Tenk: lets’ work towards it, and make it happen when it looks like it can happen, no later than january?
[13:54] Elilka Sieyes: Feb is actually a bit hectic for me, but I don’t mind trying to get some bits together to hand over to some other willing foo- er volunteer.
[13:54] Mosseveno Tenk checks the time
[13:54] Mosseveno Tenk: one last thing, i’d like to mention roleplay

[13:55] Ceejay Writer: Gee, where can you find a clock in Babbage at THIS hour, Tenk?
[13:55] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): The consulate has public roof access….
[13:55] Mosseveno Tenk: we are between chapters, in a big way
[13:55] Mosseveno Tenk: this past year saw just about all of the regular villians die, retire, or get forced into a stalemate.
[13:56] Emerson Lighthouse: I think there may be a few on the horizon
[13:56] Mosseveno Tenk: being a villain here is probably the hardest thing you can do. expectations are high, and if you don’t live up to it, people will let you know.
[13:56] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): its alright, we got emerson…he’s evil….
[13:56] Mosseveno Tenk: the NUMBER ONE REASON villians quit
    [13:56] Mosseveno Tenk: is CAMPERS
    [13:56] Mosseveno Tenk: and STALKERS
[13:56] Emerson Lighthouse sticks out his tongue at Victor
    [13:56] Ceejay Writer: Campers?
    [13:56] Tepic Harlequin: ?
[13:57] Pilipo Underwood: we have Campers? Guess I doan know what that means…
[13:57] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): ok….i get the stalkers part, but campers to me means waiting at a spawn point in quake and picking people off
[13:57] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): Stalkers of the usual sort?
[13:57] Mosseveno Tenk: moonwall stopped logging in becuase some over eager person would start hammering is IM’s as soon as he logged in
[13:57] Fire Broono: in RP, when you camp-wait for the villian at his or her home
[13:57] Mosseveno Tenk: and he is not the only one that has happend to.
    [13:57] Vic Mornington (victor1st.mornington): ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
    [13:57] Jimmy Branagh: ((kback))
[13:57] Mosseveno Tenk: take care of your villians
[13:57] Mosseveno Tenk: show some maturity
[13:57] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander): Heh. I get that as a normal part of operations.
[13:57] Mosseveno Tenk: don’t be like a bored teenaged girl with a telephone.
[13:58] Edward Pearse: They have mobiles now Tenk
[13:58] Nymlet: Well.. some RPers are :)
[13:58] Pilipo Underwood: Over obsessive Girlfirend…
[13:58] Elilka Sieyes: (I put a notecard form in that purple box, if anyone wants to help out with hosting or building gifts or …anything)
[13:58] Elilka Sieyes: (for the roof thing)
[13:58] Jimmy Branagh: Mute seems to work
[13:58] Ceejay Writer: Ah. Camping ot me means linden gathering.
[13:58] Mosseveno Tenk: its a small handful that does this, 3 people in particular, that have a nice track record of destroying roleplay with too much enthusiasm for it.
[13:58] Edward Pearse: Camp, like drag racing in San Francisco
[13:58] Ceejay Writer: I admit I stopped logging in for a while due to being pounced seconds upon entry so often, a few years back
[13:59] Ceejay Writer: If you know who the three are – have you spoken with them?
[13:59] Fire Broono: oh i know Miss Ceejay
[13:59] Mosseveno Tenk: folks, if you want roleplay, don’t kill what you love. this is a serious issue.
[13:59] Ceejay Writer: I adore my two alts with no friends lists. Freely admit.
[13:59] Mosseveno Tenk: i’d like to see some new chapters being written this year.
    [13:59] Jimmy Branagh chuckles
[13:59] Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (klauswulfenbach.outlander) raises an interested eyebrow at Fraulein Ceejay
[13:59] Edward Pearse: She has no friends on this one Baron, it’s OK

  11. Ceejay Writer Ceejay Writer September 23, 2012

APPARENTLY Tenk has lousy timing for Tales news right when I had to leave. But now I’m caught up!

Cleanslate and I are going to use a dropbox for organizing the next Tales, so I am totally happy to take in submissions in any format that’s easily editable. (Yes I will be tweaking your babies.  It’s good for you.)  I’ll upload them into our little cloud-office and we work from there.  I can take in notecards too, but keep in mind that you CANNOT add in niceties like italics and bold and such that way. I’ll only get raw text.  So consider using something a bit more sophisticated and emailing it via attachment to ceejay.writer@gmail.com.

Baron, email me about your missing book, let’s get that untangled.

Book, with the luxury of lessons learned in volume one, and better organization, I can spend extra and more focused time giving all volume two stories a true editors touch.  Muddled tenses bother me greatly, too!  I take some small pleasure in getting tenses aligned, its a zen thing, don’t ask. :)

Emerson, PROFOUND and hearty congratulations on your upcoming story in the Clockhaven Chronicles!  As an unabashed fangirl of your adventures, I wait ready to pounce that sucker when the first copy rolls off the press.

Ceejay – you just put a large smile on my face. Thank you.

(And whatever it was that was your fault that they were talking about, I don’t believe it – even if it was. So there.)

Hey, I know that was a heck of a large job for just a couple of people to do!  I think you did a very good job–it was just a few things my inner grammarian pounced on.  (It’s so hard to control that entity.)  But, considering we may well have as many submissions, if not more, I’d love to give you a hand so it doesn’t all fall on you. *hugs*
