The Raptor had been working on the remnants salvaged from Platform 11, finally bursting out of the lab, swearing he’d finished. He ushered in the Biographer, and a few mecharaptors, to show us…a box, with an eye.
He proclaimed it the ‘Mentok Device’, proclaiming it the next phase of his plans. The eye of the device apparantly had been built in some place called Seraph, years in the future., the gears and mechanisms fashioned from good old New Babbage, and the signal developed while the raptor was hopping parrallel timelines.
Apparantly the device emits a hypnotic beam, that makes anyone exposed to it, suseptable to the dinosaur’s demands. Work was underway on a new platform to broadcast, and some other details the biographer frankly could not be bothered to pay attention to, but involving disrupted communications, receivers, urchins, intercepted letters, and chocolate, eitherway it sounded much more complicated than it had any right to be.
