The fountain at the old market square has frozen. Jack is in town!

This is the thread where you post your snowman build  challenges and the prizes you offer. You are responsible for judging your category.

Build ends on New Years Day.

    Jack, Avariel and Unit #6 pondered the crumpled letter with one word written on it…

    Avariel Falcon pranced and danced! “Its time!”.

    “I… think… it… is… definitely… time…” rumbled Unit #6.

    Jack waved his stick! “Squirreliness!”.

    Its time to anounce the animal for the New-Babbage winter snow animal build contest for this wonderful year 188x! Yay!

     

    And this years animal is… SQUIRRELS!

     

    Prizes awarded based on Squirreliness,  Skitteriness and SQUEE!

     

    Jack wished to state that squirrels can be of any kind, so flying squirrels, ground squirrels, sea squirrels and miniature giant space squirrels are all good!

     

    1st: L$1000

    2nd: L$500

    3rd: L$250

    Runner up / Notable mention: L$100

     

    I will sync the closing date with the other snowpeople competitions, but this may drift a bit as it usually does. Get the squirrels built in time though because this may be the first year we succeed in judging on time! *stomps hoofs*

    Prim count will be 15 prims or less as with the other snowpeople competitions, old style prims or mesh are good, sculpties less so as we are generally trying to move away from sculpts.

    my favorite is still look-a-likes. i’ll offer seperate judging for mesh and for old skool prims. keep it under 20 prims.

    So far we have three snow squirrels and one snow unicorn for the look alikes.

    But we must subtract two snow squirrels as they have been tagged as not competing! O_o so they will only get notable mention prizes.

    “WE NEED MORE SNOW PEOPLE!” Shouts Jack, waving his stick!

    Don’t upset Jack! He can make the winter last as long as it needs to be to get those entries!

    Last minute (almost) category addition!

    /sings “Everybody… everybody… everybody wants to be a cat!”

    Show me your best snowy feline – whether it’s a curled-by-the-hearth domestic, or a stalking-through-the-jungle wildcat.  (And hey, if you make it look like Beryl, it could do double-duty!)

    20 prims or less. $1000 – $500 – $250.
