What would make this party even better would be a reading of everyone’s favorite victorian children’s story (Actually proberly austrlia’s only children’s book at the time) Seven Little Australians.
God I love that book!

Never read it myself. I had the Gumnut Babies and the Magic Pudding. Though I now have some early Australian detective stories which will go into the Radio Riel Players (or possibly an episode of Tales of New Babbage).

Seven Little Australians is very good. It was the first novel that made me cry. I read it when I was 12.
I’ll need to find out how I can get a radio stream set up for it. Also the book is now creative commons
