All In A Day’s Work

Getting up from the bench nearest the cell in Militia HQ, I decided to do something a bit more productive than just sitting and watching Underby look like a beaten worm. Finding paper and a pen on the desk I scrawled out a quick list of tasks that needed to be accomplished throughout the day.

To Do:

[*]Arrest Underby Guard Underby
[*]Cook more blasted buttered porridge
[*]Assist in preparing reports and evidence surrounding the Pip/Underby incident
[*]Meditate at the Cathedral
[*]Confirm that Star is still alive and report back to Jed
[*]Patrol town, re-reading all of the graffiti and searching for any signs of Blondie or Martians
[*]Relax by pub-hopping with friends, sipping a mug of hot cocoa
[/list]

    1. Procure breakfast.
    2. Help DeVy prepare the day’s shipment.
    3. Clean up/shut down the kitchen for the day.
    4. Lunch, sometimes at home, others in town.
    5. Go to town for supplies, information, books, tequila, etc. Bother Underby, gossip, instigate, run, if necessary.
    6. Make my regular rounds about the city. Find Loosestrife’s body and
      feed it to the wiggyfish. Preferably dead first, but optional.
    7. Find something to do with all those dead wiggyfish. Catch a tuna, DeVy’s getting heartily sick of wiggyfish dinner.
    8. Clean up for the day, especially if my rounds included submarine
      activity or disposal of mortal remains , planned or otherwise. Dinner.
    9. Get back home, get some work done in the shop/study.

    1. Refill the mug
    2. Stare at a building for a while deciding how to put a clocktower on it
    3. Think of ways to get rid of Loosestrife while making at stop at Cocoajava
    4. Procrastinate making new clocks by talking to Sky about how we’re going to destroy Loosestrife
    5. Refill the cocoa mug and eat some pie while asserting the power of NB women to take charge of any situation.

    5. Give Loosestrife a loaded gun. (Just for the heck of it.)

  12. Why do I keep smelling porridge with butter?! Must find some. Smells delicious.
  13. Check on Star, perhaps see if she can be coaxed back to the Gangplank for at least a while.
  14. Acquire a weapon that might be useful against these silly martian ships.
  15. Keep an eye on the Militia hq. Don’t want to see Underby suddenly dead in his cell…
  16. Visit Footman’s lab

  18. WHY BUTTERED PORRIDGE?!
  19. Set up equipment to resume stabilizing treatments before I lose my damnable mind in this town.
  20. Try to find more black hair dye before it fades.
  21. Get shoe polish

  23. Figure out why I’ve suddenly started writing things down.
  24. Remember to get proper braille dimpler just in case I feel compelled to write more private notes.
