Would you like to put in an undersea streetcar line? Say, from the Clockhaven Docks to the Observatory, Hospital, and surfacing again via a lift at the Library?

So, so, so lovely. I’m a complete London Underground addict. I’ve been down to abandoned platforms, and glued my eyes to the window to catch old stations whipping by in the dark, drooled over original tiling, dragged friends on long walks to view buildings… Oh, and did I mention I’m completely addicted to those oxblood-red Yerkes station exteriors? Mmmmmmmmm.

Go to this London Transport Museum collection. Go now. Drool. Also, I see Baker Street is on page 1 ;) (and man that is a nicely restored interior, even though the exterior was eaten up by a larger station/a pub over the road.) oh god look at the old Met engine, and the building of the tunnels at King’s Cross, and the district line being built and the works at Blackfriars and look at all the adverts at High St Ken…and I think I need a bit of a lie down.
I fear that a New Babbage tube would be impractical, but doesn’t stop me dreaming lustily about it ;)
Oy’ve ‘ad cow’s milk an’ even goat’s milk. Oy wonder what Viking milk is loike?
