Adventures in Seamstresing

September 13, 18XX

*Translated from the original Japanese.

Since coming to Babbage, things have been quite a bit more exciting than I expected.  After a little work, I have managed to open the shop I have always wanted; a dress and decor store.  It is small, but it is mine.  I have not seen Bianca much since moving out of her shop, though I have heard she’s been quite active in local society.  Perhaps when I am done with my gowns, I will have time to visit with her more.

Her recent break from Mr. Melnik is something of a mixed blessing.  He is a kind gentleman, and I think he honestly cares for her, but I admit my own jealousy.  He is a fine looking man, and I would love to have someone like that in my life.  But, for now, I have to focus on my work.

I received a letter today from a gentleman I once worked for as a Magician’s assistant.  He is coming to Babbage and would like me to come work with him again.  I don’t know if there is anywhere for him to perform, as both Victory Hall and the Opera House seem empty and unused.  I will have to ask around…
