A Tour of New Babbage

In 2012 I made a series of picture posts on my blog documenting the buildings in New Babbage (The first one showing the old Observatory is here.) At the end on last year I thought I’d try something a little different and give myself a chance to practice with film capture in SL.

I had a few false starts and by the time I realised the snow had fallen and it was too late to go back and film the missing buildings, but most of the builds of Babbage are shown here at some point.

I’ll have to follow it up with a short video of Babbage during winter.

Wow, I have never seen New Babbage without the snow. It’s even more impressive. Bring on the thaw!

Well done, Mr Pearse! :)  New Babbage is impressive throughout the year, and that’s due to the mad skills of our many builders.  How fortunate we are, to have excellent villains, such that our builders are kept so occupied…  From this point of view, it’s not terribly surprising that our city is frequently sought as a background for Machinema.

P.S.  With the collected video of our city we easily have something that could play in a cinema, should one be built; at the very least, there could be some small event detailing the city’s glorious past and changing skyline, perhaps as a Spring or Summer event that could show in the new City Hall.  I am inspired to this consideration by the educational and entertaining exhibition of Victorian architecture still on display in the Academy — very…. essential.
