The basic idea is to set a prim as a light source then assign a texture to it. The texture will then be projected along the -Z axis (lighting and Shadows have to be turned on or it will simply appear as a light). There are three additional settings associated with this: Field of view,
focus, and ambiance. There isn’t yet a way to control those settings
with a script so we will do what we always do and find another way.
Thanks to Victor for demonstrating this feature earlier in the week to the crowd in the Academy square (including one person born in 2003 who was sleeping there – do we eventually become like Ents?).
Remember to use this power for good. The first person who creates a Powerpoint presentation gets fed to the Wiggyfish.

Wow! That is wonderful!
Now… to make a laser pointer! Yay!
How lovely, and with Mr. McLeod’s atmospheric music as well.
Okay, so where can one get that nicely atmospheric music?
http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/ or have a word with MacKnight Culdesac.
MacLeod is the John Williams of youTube. royalty free music that is easily searched and doesn’t suck. I do pay him for what I use in the story night shows.
I click that link, and it gives me a page saying “Well, poop! Document not found”
On the other hand, I then click a link towards the top of the available links on that page, saying “Royalty-free music,” and it takes me to a URL looking identical to the one you gave, but that doesn’t give that error. oO
Ain’t technology wunnerful? :D
This is fantastic – I love the contrasting splashes of red that occassionally float through the cave.
