((Private journal entry but feel free to comment))

I was told once that nothing is constant except change and I believe this very much. Recently I saw an offer for a rental over in Clockhaven that was larger both in space and prims by a bit and was within my budget. This was surprising as I was starting to find myself a somewhat cramped at my current apartment. So with mixed emotions I took the next step in my residency in New Babbage. I will miss my friend Miss Hienrichs and my view of the graveyard. While lugging items over there, I did bump into a spirit over there. It appears that even though I will continue my training next to Mr. Footman’s dump modest home, I will have opportunities to talk to different types of ghosts. I wonder if I could get Evie to become my resident ghost. I would probably have to dig her up to do so and I think that would distress the other spirits so maybe that its not such a great idea.

I still need to try to contact the sailor as I promised. Clockhaven does afford some nice views of the sea and there is a location where there is a patch of shore with a few steam turtles nearby. I think I will use that as my contact point once I get settled in.

I still am unsure of what to do with Mrs. Barry, the spirit who wishes to return. Mr. Somerset is of the opinion that the binding does not interfere with returning to a place of repose but something else is creating a block for her. Could it be the machine that Father suggests should be destroyed? Could I get Mr. Footman’s cooperation in this? I guess I need to track him down once again, something that will be complicated as I have moved away.

So many things to do! It surely looks as if I will be a citizen here for a while!

Bah! Don’t expect much co:operation from Mr. Footman. A more erratic genius you’ll never find, I should think…
