The Pennyfarthing boys are a gang riding tall high-wheel pennyfarthing bicycles that consider the Gut as their territory. The first citizen to report a run in with them was Doc Miggins as he crossed the tracks near the Excelsior hotel. They kicked him to the ground and laughed as the gang mused over whether to cut off his beard or ears before he narrowly escaped into the canals.
During Doc Miggins encounter a man with a bowler hat was speaking for the group mostly and his name may have been Dorchester. However the group may be rather large because a man wearing a stove-pipe hat appeared to be in charge later when a group of them were encountered by Scottie Melnik.
