I’m a mermaid living in the Vernian Deep.
I grew up following the tides. Before it burned, my home was beneath the floating city of Armada Breakaway. A group of us have settled in the deep waters surrounding New Babbage. We built a Hive like no other out of discarded metal, wrecks, and diving bells, and planted what sea life would grow in the dark depths.
I like shinies, of metal or stone or glass. And hats.
