Unseen Changes

New Babbage- Early Spring

Morning brought with it many changes across New Babbage. Winter was over, the snows had melted, and another successful Oiling Festival had commenced. Life carried on like usual. The Gangplank crew was off on another adventure. The Urchins rose from their usual hiding spots and went about their daily mischief. The town clocks continued to be wound with great
care and precision. Everything seemed normal – or as normal as you could find in New Babbage.

But today was not normal. As the sunlight spread across the land, so to did an invisible energy ripple. Only a select few in town would even be able to perceive this ripple, or its effects. As it spread, any and all evidence of the creature once known as St. Jimmy vanished, as if he had never existed. Life moved on, unaware.

That night, a strange blue box was delivered to the junkyard. A small boy watched, unseen.

((I just wanted to say that I have not forgotten about New Babbage. In the past few months I have been busy with finishing my Master’s and graduating, work obligations, trying to find a new job, getting in shape (there is this thing called “outside”, who knew?), and all sorts of other things. As a result, I just haven’t had as much time to spend in SL and in New Babbage. I realize that I had many RP threads that I had toyed with that never amounted to anything. I really appreciate anyone who humored me and played along, but rather than trying to piece together events spread out over who knows how many months, I decided to just scrap it all together as if it never happened. I hope to be able to return to NB once things settle down some, but until then, the Maestro is out of play.

For those interested, the full account of how the time ripple occurred can be found here. http://themaestroslog.tumblr.com/post/49370416751/the-death-of-st-jimmy. The majority of the story doesn’t involve New Babbage, so I didn’t want to bore those of who aren’t that interested in time lord stuff. If you do read it, thanks.))

That other world is so demanding.  Fair winds, Mr. Angkarn.
