Is something happening in New Babbage?

Strange sounds had been heard in the sewers for a week or two, sort of… scratching sounds, as if something was trying to dig through the ancient brickwork.

Now this was New Babbage, things digging around underground were not that unusual. After all, there were the Molemen somewhere down there, the ROUS, including Tepic’s voles, most of whom were fairly normal size, except for those who had got into Mr Footman’s abandoned underground lab, and of course, the poor souls from the Institute that shall not be named.

The scratching was accompanied by a low groaning sound, like someone trying to say something, which was not normal. When Tepic, out of curiosity, tracked down the sounds, he was reassured the brickwork was in good condition, and it was unlikely anything was going to break into his beloved sewers.

After a few days, the sounds seemed to move upwards and began to fade into the distance, so the lad stopped worrying and carried on with his usual business, after all, what was the worst that could happen?

Role Play Information

This is the beginning of a hopefully fun role play for anyone who wants to join in for the next month or so.

At intervals, starting this Sunday, there will be a rumour on the Discord, website and (if I can get it to work) on the Group notices about where zombies may be found, followed by a landmark a day or two after to the approximate location. Search around, and you may find yourself in a bit of a pickle! Not saying yet quite what, but you may need to be armed!

Every now and then, a new location will pop up, and the old ones may vanish, so you will be exploring new places all the time.

A barrel of free weapons will be placed near each LM, and can also be found at the Sneaky Vole Pub in the Slums. Your own weapons may or may not be effective against zombies. If they are not, your only option may be to… RUN!

If you find a location, or have an adventure, please relate it in Discord or post it on the website, so everyone can join in the fun.

Go alone, if you are brave enough, or go with friends – remember in dangerous situations, you don’t need to be faster than the danger, just faster than the people with you…

How will this end? Who knows, it really depends on what people make of it!

Oh, forgot to mention, the zombies are damage enabled, so in a damage enabled area, you could die! Usually get tped back to your home if that happens, so if you find yourself in homely surroundings, don’t worry, you just died!
