Avariel Falcon looked over the reports coming in from all over the city…
“This is bad… Really bad… We have lost 37.6% of our operational clockwork and the figure is rising by the day!”.
Unit #6 rumbled, “And… today… we… lost… Unit #13…”.
Avariel motioned to a workbench in the far corner, “And look what happened to Unit #3!”.
The clockwork unicorn shook her head…
“Normally I would say that we should stick this out… But after the book, and the dreams… No, I think we have to act to protect those clockwork that are still functional and our guests…”.
Avariel looked at Unit #6, “I want all non-essential workers and the visiting human scientists evacuated. Take them out of the city on the airship, I will remain here with a skellington crew to keep the lights on.”.
Unit #6 held up his hands, “I… will… not… leave… I… will… oversee… the… evacuation… then… remain… to… assist… you… here…”.
Avariel nuzzled Unit #6, “You are certain of this course of action?”.
Unit #6 rumbled, “Indeed… after… all… we… still… have… time… for… one… last… game… of… chess…”.
