As the new RP kicks off i would like to build a list of places that are open for encounters such as places i can put a clue item for a mystery hunt. Any places such as shops, churches, hospitals powers stations or what ever. If your place is available, then please list here in the comments with a description and landmark :)
Note: Im not looking for places to set up more Clock’in clocks, only Popplefots and Krakenwell will have the clock’in clocks, at least untill it’s proven they work well enough :)

Hey Loki. Are you looking for places where there is a resident RP character, or just places which are available for RP to play out/characters to hang out?
There is a Workers Union meeting place round the back of the Coffin-Makers’ Co-Operative workshop. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Babbage%20Square/82/17/106
and there’s the mortuary beside it http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Babbage%20Square/87/21/106
The Dyeworks? (needs work on it) http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Babbage%20Square/55/81/106
I think some urchins could help with a little problem I have at the power station.
These days the portal is proving very popular for transporting adventurers and luxury cargo, but this has led to a maintenance issue. There is a lot of machinery in the underspace that supports the portal which needs regular maintenance. Nothing too hard, oiling, topping up tanks, pulling rogue metal shards from the shift coils, that sort of thing.
The problem is that my clockwork workers are made of metal so they interact with the aetheric fields around the apparatus, so we have to keep shutting down the portal to carry out this work which reduces the profitability of the portal generator.
Urchins however are made of squishy stuff and water so they could work in the underspace without any issues while the portal generator is still running! Greatly improve efficiency!
[Once I get the new computer I will build the improved underspace, this is the space under the portal room that is accesed through the Clockhaven Telegraph Office. There is a little room that I will equip as a small locker room, then its past the Danger! signs and and your work awaits you! Its almost safe! PS I think Spirit is quite keen to make a version of the meshly visor to give away to protect against the fumes from the aetheric resonators, she says they smell really bad when they get hot.]

from VI (violet.solano): hey loki ive been having trouble getting on the babbage site to post but my warehouse in weatstone is open rp if you want to use. it has three floors top is a sort of lounge and an unferground dock and the cabbage shop on the canal right where the warrens used to be it http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Wheatstone%20Waterways/205/163/107
The alleys/tunnels between Cyan’s build and mine in Clockhaven were built specifically for RP, and all are always welcome to come explore/evade/chase/ignite, etc.
Between his Alley Cats pub and the Snow Drop chocolate shop, through Cheshire Mews, past the stables through Archon’s Alley to the Underground Press and on to the Clockwork Laundry–leading to the intersection with the alleys leading down to the News Shop and further down to the Cheese shop and Chandlery, or up to the Bronte Hall, all is open for RP of any kind.
Just watch out for Dollianna at the laundry; we’re not sure whether she’s rehabilitated or just sneakier (she does great work getting out blood stains, and will even patch boiling acid burns on request, as well as administering boiling acid on failure to pay…)

Pssst: btw, there’s also free cheese nibbles for urchins at the side window of the Cheese Shop beside the water in Clockhaven. Just don’t tell any of the mean old people, like Krankywhale or Popplesnot…
Also those shops are completely open for RP as well. Alley Cats Pub, the Cheshire Mews and the Snow Drop Chocolate Shop (although have to watch out for Ms Pheadra there) all completely open, as well as the brewery. It’s always open for RP (even have a new hidden place for secret urchin societies… shhhhhhh)
Hello Loki,
our places are available for your great roleplay:
The old brewery, you may remember it from the Krampus Parties at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Clockhaven/208/137/103
to its left is an old, creepy mining station.
Then the Clockhaven Aquarium at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Clockhaven/135/159/103 famous for it’s fishes and sea creatures
our secret outpost at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Academy%20of%20Industry/244/207/111
It’s a little creepy house with an electric wire around it, inspired by Doc O’s old shop.
Our warehouse at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Wheatstone%20Waterways/179/129/106 with its production of mad little “things”.
Turnscrew Station/ Ahab’s Bane Tavern is available.
Turnscrew station – A Trolley Station that was build 20 years ago but sat unused and unnoticed until now.
Abab’s – The dirtiest, roughest den of scum and villiany in New Babbage.

[taps the accumulated soot off his account]
You may, of course, use the Consulate, outside and ground floor, and the roof. I would appreciate no interference with Herr Doktor Mason’s laboratory or my private quarters, but the rest of the facility is open.

Clockhaven Close in Pallisades is available. Shops there include the Brass Monkey, the Automaton Service Centre, a Barber shop, New Babbage Newsagents & Tobacconist (currently being rebuilt) and a facade for the Babbage Minions, Lackeys, and Henchmen’s Guild. I’ll be adding in the Codswollop Fish ‘n’ Chips as soon as I can.
There’s also a sign for the offic of an Accoucheur. That might even be a quiz in itself. :-)
Not to forget Mr Spider’s pawnbrokers shop [near the power station] with it’s slightly eccentric back room. [Accessed via the trapdoor in the ceiling].
And the newly improved urchin tower [up the steps from the pawn shop]
And various other places on the power station parcels.
Any location on the north side of Abney Parkway from the Port line to the train station is available.
Dearest Master Loki,
Please feel free to use the Palaeozoic Museum http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Clockhaven/15/105/111 and the environs as you wish, as long as you try not to break too much of the glass. I would hope that the dinosaurs might make a fun back drop. Also, you may remember when the White Rabbit Restaurant was there, our “wine cellar” did survive… *wink wink* http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Clockhaven/13/98/106
Warmest Regards, E. Bergamasco
*looks up and sets down a hammer* My cat shop is being transformed into a place that serves beverages but you’re welcome to place an item or have people rp once it’s done. You know where it is in Port but I’ll update this entry with a proper lm before too long. Have fun!
So if you want to stretch to the Academy of Industry and rare books or a parrot or ephemera would help the rp, obviously you’re welcome to the Library for Study of Genteel Alien Invasion and Vampyrism Etc
http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Academy%20of%20Industry/201/205/112
The medical equipment and transplanted body parts etc are on the second floor.
There is a green area nearby with a park bench and fountain etc, between the library and the church, should you want something more bucolic by way of contrast.
And speaking of bucolic, no one is more peaceful – well, usually – than the dead buried in the Graveyard next to the Chapel of St. Swithins the Moor-slayer. If you cam below the church, you’ll see a few archaeological findings of modest import and one or two items of alchemical interest that are always available, or certainly anything else in theme can go there. (ditto the graveyard, of course)

Happy roleplaying! Will be fun to see where this goes.
You (and anyone else) are welcome to use the Sir William Wilde Public Hospital for all of your roleplaying needs. Some of the spaces are a little sparse still as I work on filling it with equipment, but the triage, patient rooms, basement baths, and boiler room should be quite functional.

Thank you so much everyone :) i wil have fun walking around all these places checking them out.
I’m a-thankin’ that it would be easier to list the places not to roleplay.
the Whewell observatory and Orobas power Plant are fine for RP, my house and lab are ok for rp if you’re invited in.
not that I’ve been around much lately
