Maybe you’ve come across notices for the Babbage Book Discussion and thought, “Why don’t they read . . . . ” or you’ve seen some title and thought “that sounds like a good book.”
Okay, perhaps not, but here’s your chance to make some book suggestions.
Do you have a book we should read for next New Babbage Book Discussion? A book you’ve read and loved? A book that sounds interesting? An author you’d recommend? We won’t meet again until January 28 so there’s a bit of time.
We mostly read steampunk novels, but not always so if there’s a great book or author you’d like for us to read, post it below.
The vase by the fireplace in the library has a notecard of all of the titles we’ve done in the past (check it out if you’d like to see what we’ve read).
Come and join this brilliant, clever, funny casual group of folks on January 28 as we talk about books and life. Oh yes, we are all exceedingly well bred and good looking, too.
(Think I posted this a few weeks ago, but can’t find it so, er, here it is again.)
You did, but as an Event… and it’s gotten kicked out of the list on the front page by other events that are occurring sooner.
Still, the reminder doesn’t hurt! *smile*
You are right, Book, I sure did. Thank you for catching that. *gee*
Have you guys done “The Anubis Gates” or “The Stress of Her Regard” ? Both Tim Powers books, the former being cited often as Steampunk. The second a bit so. Might be fun, it deals with a woman who has ‘eyes in her breasts’ !
