Last Friday, everyone was invited to Mister Popplefot’s Blacking Factory to celebrate the promotion of our own little Tepic to Day Manager.
For the occasion, Mister Popplefot gave a short speech about hard work being rewarded and Tepic becoming someone important in the future and so on.

Then we were prompted not to work but instead to enjoy the feast of roasted turkeys and various pies that Mister Popplefot had provided for us.

Everyone was stuffing themselves and chatting merrily when suddenly Mister Popplefot noticed the “Liberté Egalité Fraternité” graffiti I had drawn right under his portrait…
He turned scarlet red and shouted, asking who made that.
In the end I had to confess it was me, as he was threatening to punish everyone, and he gave me the choice to be sacked or to accept my punishment.
I need the money, so I chose the latter and received eight strikes on my fingertips, which hurt like hell… And then I had to rub the graffiti off.
