unfortunatly yesterday the internet was lost on my street and I couldn’t do the grand opening.

On the plus side, technical difficulties do seem to be fixed now, as I’m not using my phone to type this or camped out at the diner with a tablet.

For now, the observatory *is* open to the public, you can go in and look at my rocks from space, or giant balls of gas through a telescope. just the *official* grand opening, with cake, hasn’t happened yet.

you were not the only one. when mine goes down, it takes out the entire region, including cell phones. there is a sweet spot on the hill behind my house where I can catch a cell signal from Denver.
Turned out to be a nice gathering of people, we had a great time chatting in and out of character, good interaction! Even cancellations can be fun :-)
