Los Angeles, California. Local sports star Eric Ramirez has made a late afternoon appointment at the office of Samuel Sloan, P.I. A number of compromising photographs of him have been taken of him with the boss’s wife and he wants the situation handled quietly. This should be a simple matter, presuming the people involved can manage to stay quiet.
Suspicions and Returns is the second volume of the Case Files of Samuel Sloan P.I. Sam, accompanied by his holographic secretary Sarah return to the noir future of Los Angeles 2108. The city is filled with renegade robots, gambling dens, visitors from the past, and a police lieutenant holding a grudge over some property damage. Four new mysteries bring the detective everywhere from the glamorous Century Club to scouring back alleys for information and witnesses.
