Wrong on SOPA/PIPA

It seems I underestimated.  Posting copyrighted content on a server will shut down the server.

Streaming licensed music would be a 5-10 year prison sentence.

    Thank goodness i am not in the country that is proposing this. has to be one of those third world dictatorships, doesn’t it? Though i suppose there is still extradition……

    Technically I think all of SL would be affected by it just because there’s tons of copyrighted material in SL.

    From what I understand the bill would be changing the law to allow companies to sue LL since it’s based in America even if the someone streaming that music was living in Scotland.  All the legal loopholes LL can do to claim they’re not responsible will be closed up.

    The penalty for illegally loading Michael Jackson music to the web

    is 5-10 years in prison.

    The penalty for killing Michael Jackson is four  years in prison.
