Before I post these winners, please let me say that this is probably the toughest contest I’ve ever judged. There were so many excellent stories that were submitted, that it was very difficult. In the end, I did choose a story.. and was so enamoured of several other stories that I had to give runner up a tie. There were also a few stories that I really felt stood out so I’m giving honorable mentions (even though I can’t provide a prize).
All in all, these are marvelous stories and provide a wonderful look into the collective mind of the steam-minds.

Congratulations to everyone, not just the winners. This is a large undertaking and a wonderful thing to be proud of. I shall have the ThInc books and Notecard versions prepared in a couple of weeks and they will be available at the R. F. Burton Library.
If there were a hard copy version available in RL, would you be interested in it?
C.Capalini
*applause* Congratulations winners! I can’t wait to read everyone’s stories. And Miss Capalini, I would be quite interested in a hard copy version – perhaps it could incorporate the past years entries as well?
I would be interested in a hardcopy edition as well, and I second Ceejay’s suggestion about a compendium copy of the previous contests.
*claps loudly*
huzzah!
Congrats all! And I certainly would consider a hard copy!
Congratulations everybody! Looking forward to reading the next edition!
Congratulations, all! I look forward to reading your contributions.
Dunno if you’ll see this after all this time, but did the ThInc/NC compilations of these stories ever get put together? If so, where can I find them?
I have wondered too, Samm! If any help is needed, perhaps I could point towards some likely mentors?
I would assume v3 of Dialogues became a victim of real life, as Miss C had some major upheavals about this time last year. I do happen to know (having been shirtcollared into editorial duty) that a couple of the entries will be appearing in Mr. Cleanslate’s project book.
I’ll go stir the pot and see if anything appears.
A notecard book has just been issued, stop by the R. F. Burton Library to get your copy.
(read: 90 to 100 jpegs for a thINC book was just too much to deal with)
Prim Perfect magazine does a few hundred thINC pages a month while blithely polishing its manicure.
But, we ARE special.
(Seriously, I understand, it’s crazymaking and a little costly. I am FINE with a notecard! Words are wonderful, no matter what vehicle conveys them.)
I submitted mine for Tales of New Babbage.
I’m terribly sorry for the delay. Yes, I had a few.. things go on about this time last year. Thank you Ceejay, words are wonderful no matter what vehicle conveys them.. and it should be noted that Prim Perfect has a staff to contribute and ease the production of a magazine.. I however only have myself and at the time, a laptop that was dying. I’ve spoken to that lovely man, Elfod Nemeth, about this conundrum and the thInc books.. and it’s possible in the future there may be a thInc version.
Speaking of, I need to speak to Serafina.. seems like there should be a contest that I should have already started? Keep an eye out, I should have a post tonight.
Wow, didn’t think that would work! Thanks! :)
Didn’t think what would work?
Posting to a year-old thread & having folks notice it. :)
