I’m going to try something new here, and see how it sets with the rest of you. Every Wednesday, I’ll pick a page at random from the New Babbage Wiki, and post a link to it. And yes, I’m hoping that in doing this, I might get a few more of you interested in working on it. I’ve been maintaining the Current Events page, but there’s so much more that can be done. Character biographies, building descriptions and histories, gathering related links/pages together into specific stories, and much more.
And for this initial Wiki Wednesday post, we’ve got a good one: The Mace of Olaf. Why is Aeolus Cleanslate called the Maceholder? Because there is an actual mace–read about it here!
(By the way, I do want to clarify something, and may as well do it here. I can create new accounts on the New Babbage Wiki, but I can’t do it here on the main site. That needs one of the moderators.)
Oh! That’s interesting!
That’s an excellent idea. I think many of us are unaware how much work you do.
Thanks again, Miss Book :) That link was both interesting and informative — I did come across the Mace of Olaf in our City, and was intrigued, to be sure. As your link included a picture, it is fair to say that the mace I had seen was NOT the mace of history — though if not for this link, I might have been duped into parting with 50 Q for what was quite probably the Mace of Olaffson, the last few characters mostly smudged out. Thanks for this — keep up the good work :)
It definitely needs a little updating. I’ll see if I can find the relevent links.
It does make a fantastic souvineer of New Babbage though. I highly recommend getting one of your own.
