Wheatstone Central Terminal

Wheatstone Central Terminal was constructed in 2008 as a transshipment point between air, canal, and street-level traffic in the industrial section of Wheatstone Waterways. Spiral staircases serviced a pair of towers above the roof, and an elevator lowered visitors to street level, where they could exit or descend to the canal surface and board canal transportation. Steam-powered sternwheeled canal boats were available for rent. Visiting canal boats were allowed short term pier access, and visitors were allowed to store luggage or cargo in bays arrayed around the perimeter.

A second-floor waiting lounge looked out at the main canal via a pair of 10-meter circular plate glass windows.
