Cadmus sauntered into the bar humming a Sea Shanty.
The happy mood put Hob on his guard.
“Yer ‘ave a look like the cat that swallowed
“The winds of change”
Cadmus held up a letter. “The winds of change have
come. We set sail on a new course.”
Hob knew better than to expect an explanation.
“We are moving the refinery.” Cadmus stated while looking around the place.
“Wot, then, eh? This is the best spot in New
Babbage. Good location on the bay. Everyone’s eyes on the port no one notices wot
we do. Come and go as we please.”
“You are correct there is no better spot IN New
Hob’s jaw dropped when the meaning set in.
“Move? Wen? Where, then? We ain’t welcomed at most
“Soon. To an island”.
“MY island.” Cadmus said with a wicked grin.
knew that when the Captain smiled like that he had plans.
“But wot about the tavern?”
“I am keeping the tavern in New Babbage. I am not
done with this town.” His grin grew bigger.
Hob shuddered. He was relieved to know he was
staying in New Babbage.
