    I heartily recommend the book H.G.Wells wrote that was influenced by this event: Tono-Bungay. It is a nice look into life in that time, mixed with elements familiar to New Babbagers (flying machines, weird science) and introducing something fascinating, the atomically unstable minerals Mr. Wells calls “quap”.

    Tono-bungay is a snake oil type product, but I invite you to take a look at the name of the stuff. Number of syllables, the placement of the hyphen. Remind you of any beverage very popular today?
