Oh I wish that were true, Clockwinder! For it would definitely make operations at the Steamworks more efficient. Alas, this photograph was done on my trusty old camera running with the most basic hardware barely able to produce this image with only much time and patience (and a fairly long exposure to boot)! I have to set up the shot using the shortest draw distance and lowest object complexity first. Then when I have a nice composition I crank up the settings as far as I can before smoke begins billowing out of the housing. Sometimes I forego antialiasing. Many minutes are spent hovering the lenses’ focal point over distant objects to ensure they render as completely as possible. I have been known to crank up the RenderFarClip setting to as much as 1000 to get far away elements in view. The old girl can do some basic motion picture capture, but not anywhre near as grand as this image. I usually only make recordings of that nature with interior or very close up action – with Draw set to its lowest of course.
Well worth the effort, though. It is good to be reminded just how grand a city New Babbage truly is! It is a tribute to her citizens that this place has established itself as a steampunk capital, as some have put it. For every person that walks its streets, weaves their story and makes it their home helps to shape its past, present and future.
Whoa, thet’s gorgeous Mr. Jack.
grins and waves cheerfully with a quick happy twirl ..to Mr. Jack always a happier New Babbage when YOU are about Sir :)
Happy and Healthy New Year to YOU and YOURS Sir !!!
