‘The Gentleman’ – Part 3 of 4

Some of the residents of New Babbage speculate that ‘The Gentleman’ must have some way of influencing his victims, be it to make them trust him or as a sadistic way of torturing those that have gotten in his way. Many questioned the latter extensively. Was it to get a message across? Was it to stop individuals from finding out his secrets? Or was it just because he enjoyed seeing people reduced to a heap of fear, tears and anxiety? Regardless of his appearance, only a true monster could do such things so readily.
