made it to london. had some trouble getting past immigration because i’m traveling without an in-contry contact and nearly at the end of my budget.

palmer’s lodge swiss cottage is like staying in the prof. xavier’s mansion. best. hostel. ever. unfortuantley the tube line to here isn’t running so had to get off at baker street then navigate double decker bus stairs while moving while carrying a very badly balanced backpack and *the clock*.

brits… y’all been holding out… you know how long i’ve been trying to get my hands on these textures?

feeling kinda jagged from traveling all day, but the bar in the basement is  having a special on snakebites tonight. that will solve about anything.

collecting textures in Britain? so… it’s how long a stay, Mr Tenk? ;-)  Welcome to our corner of the world, and enjoy the stay!  (would recomend the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert – how big a plastercast can YOU make, childern? Both free entry, and with some wonderful buildings).

hey, i think i saw you last night, running across the street and under a fence as i was walking back to the hostel… you spying on me? will be heading back to heathrow thursday morning.

saw the Harrison longitude clocks today, i had no idea the were so large!  Dr. Watson gave me a tip that this was the very last free admission day at the gallery of time/royal observatory. H3 was off display for an overhaul, but H1 makes a wonderful sound.

      Welcome to Britain!!

If you are heading northwards you’d be welcome IM me and we can teach you how to properly make tea/pour a pint/fry everything/not rebel against your superiors.

i do also intend to start getting some textures uploaded soonish. Some as photos and waiting for some sun to get some more grim brick and cobbles :)

sun? sun?!? bugger that! was it too much to hope for a nice overcast day in london? nooooo, i got a bright cloudless perfectly sunny day that made getting good angles very difficult and the windows throwing strange light all over everything. Pfft, and weatherman is on for the same tomorrow.

London transport’s always embuggered at the weekends. Weekdays should be more reliable, for certain values of reliable.

Of course with the thaw and the inevitable Spring Clean comes the Oiling Festival.

Time to break out the polish and fresh paint!

      indeed it does!

one  category this year is WINDMILLS.

i’ll be sending invites to Armada, Seraph City, Cala Mondrago, and the other steamlands, flag waving while building is encouraged.  technology local to the homeland is appropriate, for example, Seraph would be able to use diesel power, but no one else would, and so on.
