Tonight, the sultry Scotsman of New Babbage, Victor Mornington, reads a
ghostly tale of the northern moors. The Phantom Coach by Amelia B
Edwards is what we’re listening to tonight at 7pm PDT at the Muirsheen
Durkin Pubic House!
Stream will be played over Radio Riel Steampunk.
Edwards was a journalist, novelist, egyptologist and suffragette. She
traveled extensively with only a female companion in an era when male
chaperones were considered socially and physically essential. She was
also an early advocate for the preservation of archeological sites from
the ravages of development and tourism.
