Sunday Slacker Audio Challenge: Fake Radio Ads

Next episode of “Tales” will be a short one, and see some other shorties coming down the track., so here’s a challenge:

Record an advertisement for a fake product in New Babbage. The product must be genuinely fake, not something that could be purchased for lindens from a vendor inworld, and any shops mentioned by name must be genuinely fake due to some licensing weirdness.  The stuff that appears in the crates around town, like the canned smog or the vole butter, is fair game.If you do not want your voice credited for anominity reasons, I am real good at forgetting who sent it in.

Here’s some free software that could be useful:

Audacity – free audio recorder and editor. You will need to install a special file to save as mp3 which is a seperate download.

The Levelator – evens out sound levels in one click.

((I’ll show you what I have written out. I wish I had gotten out of bed to write it as I thought about it last night, but I was tired. XD.

It’s got lots of alliteration, but I think you and I can handle that. After all I’ve always been able to say Weasley’s Wizarding Wheezes with no issue, lol))

Just had a discussion with the director of Radio Riel, and we got a green light on including virtual shops or products as long as it is clearly included in the content of the Tales From New Babbage show… but do keep it the tongue in cheek spirit of it please.

Americans are probably familiar with the Powermilk Bisquit and Ketchup Advisory Board ads on Prairie Home Companion. That is what I’m talking about.
