All we are saying is give peace a chance.

((but in truth what fun would Babbage be without a little chaos ;3 ))

Yes indeed young Master Cyan. What fun would New Babbage be with out chaos.

Tolerance certainly is a reasonable option and should always be embraced.  POSSESSION is an abomination and should be corrected, its victims healed, and its invokers squashed like bugs!!!

Enough talking. It is time for shooting.

    Its time for… Wigglyfish!

    With custard!

Mmm… Tasty human food… Much better than beating each other up over differences in your view of the fundamental nature of the universe!

    • Cadmus Lupindo Cadmus Lupindo September 10, 2010

I am not interested in “the fundamental nature of the universe” I just want to start shooting. *grins*

I think you’d look good as wiggyfish chow.

But that would be an improvement for him, eh?

Now Jed you don’t really mean that.

          • Jedburgh30 Dagger Jedburgh30 Dagger September 11, 2010

you’re right.  There are some things wiggyfish won’t eat.

Starting the shooting is easy. One simply chooses a target and sets up an ambush. Stopping the resulting gunplay can be rather more difficult, though.

Still there are times when I do feel that a bit of cold iron or hot steel-jacketed lead would serve well to simplify the situation in a constructive manner.

*looks at Gabriell, then to Underby in the cell*
I completely — *obnoxiously loud airship passes overhead*

::brushes his fingers over the sign, brow furrowing:: I give peas a chance all the time! They’re quite good with a little salt!

The problem I have is that mysticism is not reasonable.

    • MichaelD Mannonen MichaelD Mannonen September 15, 2010

One man’s reason is another man’s insanity, and vice versa…

Plainly put, even science can seem like magic if the science is significantly advanced enough above the level of understanding of those viewing its workings.

Here is a theory for you to refute, or prove: Perhaps magic and mysticism has its roots in the science of the universe, (or multiverse, for that matter), and simply operates under principles, guidelines and laws that conventional science has yet to discover or explain. Perhaps those that make use of magic and mystic practices have found some way to make use of these principles that conventional science has not yet realized.

There is a theory, scientists. Prove or disprove it to your hearts content, but use fair and sound scientific principles (i.e., the “Scientific Method”) to do so. Simple skoffing or dismissing the theory out of hand shall only discredit you; a good man of science would not dismiss a theory, simply because it did not fit in with the currently accepted scientific principles.
