I heard this song sung by a group marching by the Port the other day, before the curfew was lifted. I think they must really miss Tenk (or they just don’t like being “Under Underby”).
I recorded what I could of the song onto a phonograph cylinder. You can hear it here: Under Underby
Most moving. *reaches for lacy hankie*
….is speechless
Seconded.
wow…. just wow
((Wonderful! Bravo))
Dear Mr. Culdesac,
I am penning this note to you in order to inquire about your lovely piece of music. Is there an .mp3 version of this that I could procure? I would love to run it in our rotation on Radio Riel Steampunk.
Long live Mayor Tenk!
Sincerely,
Miss Gabrielle Riel, Director of Radio Riel
Gabriel, i would recomend to you to get the addon to firefox that lets you download any youtube material and trun it into, for example, MP3 with a aimple rolldown meny under the song in the playwindow.
it is a incredible usefull tool.
And.. as saying this..i also like to add this to my playlist.. as i usually play it in Porthead tavern.. it will be most fitting :)
there’s also youtube-mp3.org
((I think putting the song file online was harder than writing it! Here’s the link: Under Underby mp3 file ))
In any great city, the voice of the people is captured during significant events. I think it’s valuable to New Babbage that you’ve helped to do that.
Well done, Mr. Culdesac.
“Under Underby” is now in rotation on Radio Riel Steampunk.
I have it playing once every three hours. If it gets to be too much, I’ll dial it back.
I take it the one singing is a clockwork? Kinda sounds like one anyway.
/me sheds a quiet tear.
All three singers are clockworks. They sound a bit odd from time to time, but they sing much better than I do. (( I used Melody Assistant with Virtual Singer doing the voices. ))
Bravo! Well done sir.
