“Here it is, just as you ordered it.” The seamstress lifted the gown out of its nest of paper and gave it a gentle shake.

Phaedra smiled, running her fingers over the smooth, bright-colored fabric, “Exactly as I wanted. Your work is commendable.”

The seamstress was pleased, folding the gown back into the box, “It’s too small for you, Miss, Is it for your daughter?”

Phaedra frowned at the woman, handing over gold coin to pay, “My daughter is dead to me. This is for a barmaid.”

The woman looked confused, “A barmaid?”

“Yes, a little gift in exchange for some work she will be doing for me.” Phaedra lifted the box with a smile and walked quickly out before the woman could ask more questions.

She smiled, walking toward Clockhaven. She could feel change in the air, she was certain this plan would work.
