Question, er, , what question are we on? The gas.

Anyone remember what question we’re on?

There exist gasworks located in Wheatstone Waterways and Academy of Industry, and a delivery main in the Port that services an airship dray line.

What is the gas?

Methane. Babbage has to ship its cow farts in.

Less silly answer: Coal gas. Historically-plausible-ish, and also appropriately potentially hazardous to health.

The next question becomes…where are we getting the coal for the gas works?  I understand now where the refinery gets its coke from.

Methane would be appropriate as a fuel source. Would there not also be a need for either hydrogen or helium to act as a lifting agent for airships?
