Public Domain Images from the British Library

The British Library Puts Over 1,000,000 Images in the Public Domain: A Deeper Dive Into the Collection

And specifically, these.  We need to start plastering our public walls with these. *grin*

    These are fantastic, Bookworm.

Signs of the times are on the wall. I cleaned up a couple of the images and made free signs: one for Ross’s Royal Ginger Ale and another for Hyam & Co., makers of fine knickerbocker suits for boys — which, presumably, can be ordered from the London address that appears on the ad. Both posters are full mod and have the texture stashed away inside. You can also take a copy of the Soot Sticks sign on the south side of the Shockley Biologics Institute (across the street from Brunel Hall on the SW corner of Academy & Savory).

Oh, these are quite nice!   I should share my extensive collection of Victorian era advertising and oddball portraits of people.  Hmmm… how?
