They are also planning a Taylor Swift comic and a Lady Gaga comic.  I fail to see how one is worse than the other.

Ahh, now all I need is a Justin Bieber/vampire/Bratz comic and my plot to utterly destroy comics fandom will be complete!

         Muhahaha!

Isnt this woman crazy enough already? This only encourages her!

It really needs a disclaimer that its fiction, just incase she or her supporters think its a newspaper.  c.c

at least they’re all working together….I guess Robama Obama-care turns out to be a good thing in the end (or is this the result of the republican hc reform?)  either way, those parts better have a warranty

This is what happens when a little known genre gets popular. It’s going to get much much worse.

Please, for the sake of this forum…

    Noooooooo politics!!!!!

    (Seriously.  Please.  Don’t go there.)

I second that! I *third* that!! I fourth, fifth, and SIXTH that!!!

A political discussion is the quickest way to make New Babbage the Unhappiest Place on Earth. The Founders Week Ball won’t be much fun if no one is talking to each other.

*reads over the thread* Okay, I see nothing political happening here…am I missing something?  This argument would be happening the exact same way if it was “Steampunk Chuck Norris” or “Steampunk Jonas Brothers”  i think that it is a political figure has nothing to do with it.

There is the fear that it might go there…

Right-o *Puts the mod-hat on* That is exactly the reason that your friendly neighborhood moderators keep an eye on all of the threads.  If it did start to degenerate into a political discussion, you can be assured we’d step in and clean it up.  However, as this thread was showing absolutely no indication of that, It’s been left un-harrassed.

*points at Toshiro’s post*  Partly that, partly, yes, a preemptive strike.  Just the sight of that person’s name tends to bring a lot of knee-jerk reactions that I’d really rather not see.

If the discussion can be kept civil and politics-free, hey, that’d be great.  I’m not very sanguine about that, but maybe folks can prove me wrong. *grin*

    * Peeks out from around the corner of a tombstone *

Gomennasai !!!  My typist wanted only to show an oddity of steampunk.  Zannen desu !!!

    * Bows several times in embarrassment, mutters evil things about her typist, and hides behind the tombstone again *

Pish and tosh! It was an excellent link to post, Miss. Hermit! I just don’t think we should, y’know, talk about it too much or anything.

Words truly fail me.  Having said that, I can only imagine what they’d do with Lady Gaga as fodder for the cannon.
