ohh it reminds me of “a young niece of sorts build” to Miss Canolli’s own wonderful rebuild ..
thinks for a moment .. maybe wicked sculpted printing press roller hanging from the top sign extention there ? smiles
fun build :)
Most impressive!
Looks great!
Mind if I asked which tools you used to do that? 133 to 12 is impressive.
mesh studio.
i think it would work on the gangplank. i noticed the front of brunel got a mesh makeover last night, curious to know what his before and after numbers are.
Time for an Academy class, Mr. Clockwinder.
better find someone that knows how to use this thing first! i’m making it up as i go.
I wonder if one of the Mesh Studio / Black Box support people would be willing to come and talk for an hour?
I wouldn’t mind asking them if you think it might be a useful thing to schedule.
I would attend that session
that would be cool.
Started sending out IMs tonight. Hopefully something will come of it.
No luck. The one woman who teaches classes at the Builder’s Brewery is no longer doing that because she’s writing a book. She said she doesn’t know of anyone else who is teaching about it inworld because it’s so new.
So….maybe if some Babbagers pick it up and experiment we can collaborate.
I picked mine up earlier today and converted an old 20 prim bookstand into a 6 prim bookstand. I’m sold.
i think a show and tell session might be in order. you, me, beq, nonney, tosh, vic, and jimmy are all using it. it works great as straight surfaces. curves are going to cost more as you’ll need higher resolution and more triangles to sketch it out (if you took calculus, think about that reimann sum demonstration you got right before getting into integrals – the more intervals, the smoother the curve).
i have noticed on building walls i need to force a slight overlap to get rid of daylight cracks that can happen in the final mesh from where you had 2 prims well aligned. Adding .001 to the prim or adding/subtracting .001 from the position is enough to get rid of it. this tool will force you to become a better builder, especially where texturing is concerned.
That’s a hell of a prim reduction. Sign me up for the class.
