Packing Up (Museum rumblings part 3)

No matter how many times I re-read the engineers report, it still read the same “Foundation no longer stable to the point of representing a threat to human habitation. A writ will be issued to quit the premises immediately until stabilization of the building foundation and substructure is complete.”

“What will we do with the dinosaurs? they are too big to go anywhere!” I asked, not expecting an answer.

“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of that.” replied Victor.

“What can you do? Put them in the swimming pool at the Brunel? They’re larger than most buildings…. maybe there’s a warehouse I can rent? But Ineed all the funds I can scrape together for the rebuild.” I trailed off dejectedly.

“Just crate ’em up, I’ll keep ’em safe.”

“Well, at least I have the Restaurant still, that will help defray some of the cost, and I’m quite comfortable in the little apartment upstairs… even with the giant Tower of Doom looming over me.”

Victor chuckles and mumbles something about Doc O and his silly contraptions.

I sigh heavily and begin to compose a request for crating service for the dinosaurs…
